Bancroft River Cruises

Serene, gorgeous - those words kept coming to mind as we cruised the River Avon with Bancroft River Cruises in September. No loud announcements over speakers, no blaring music, the guide answered questions and we had a lovely conversation with another couple. It helped us imagine Shakespeare sitting by the river and conjuring up incredible stories.

The whole experience from booking to ceremony was brilliant. We went to scatter ashes, and Fiona had everything ready for our Hindu culture, and she made what is a emotional day extra special and calm and spiritual. Would recommend to anyone and would like to thank Fiona for all her help and blessings.

I couldn’t reach you by email or telephone so had to drop by in person on a trip to Stratford. We managed to book in the diary to have a hen party experience with you, you were going to email me with costs/package options. Not heard anything and still no response to my emails or telephone. Finding it really hard to reach you which is disappointing as I’ve used you before and can see so many other great reviews.

Recently had a beautifully done family ashes ceremony as a boat cruise following a recent bereavement. Fiona was absolutely amazing, completely kind and so knowledgeable. We are not a traditional family but Fiona was aware (more than we were to be frank!) of the religious set up and practices including music, sequencing etc. even to the little touches of the drinks that were served with the food we bought onboard. Honestly made A really hard day for us all much more calm. Thanks you so much Fiona and the team too.

We have used the boat services for Scattering Ashes on 2 occasions in the last 4 years and both occasions were conducted in a very professional manner.I was in constant contact with Fiona months before the event planning it. We hired the boat to scatter the Ashes and had around 28 guests. We went out onto the river for around 40 minutes, seeing the sights whilst Sikh prayers were played.We stopped at a beautiful spot overlooking a beautiful waterfall and deposited out parents Ashes in a water urn.The staff were so respectful and made the experience amazing. We will be visiting the area again for a picnic and take in the beautiful views. Thanks again !!!

Took my partner's nan here and she uses a walking stick. They were very friendly and jumped to help her get in and out of the boat. They also have a guide you can listen to during the trip.

What a beautiful service which was extremely professional and sentimental from start to finish. The knowledge of the Sikh culture was amazing.
