Such a lovely little bar, hidden down a set of stairs off the street. The staff were so friendly, and the place had a really nice atmosphere. Also loved the cocktails!

Went here for a couple drinks with my husband. Had a great time! Loved the ambiance here. Felt like we were in a speakeasy. The drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced. There are bathrooms and I found them to be nice and clean. Our server was very nice and helpful. They had boozy ice cream vending machine. And they had a claw game where you play and the prize is an ingredient which the bar tender has to make a mystery drink including that ingredient. My husband and I did this and got peach and ginger. Was really worried how the drinks would turn out but we were worried for nothing. The drinks were fantastic. Definitely do this if you go.

Wonderful little cocktail bar hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The cocktails were delicious, and the service was very friendly. It's table service, so I recommend you get your order in quickly, otherwise you could wait a while (as happened to me).

Definitely a high volume bar, but the cocktails were superb & the service was quick and friendly. Enjoyed the “pinch and sip”; my flavor was lychee & my husband’s was mint and the drinks crafted with those flavors were amazing. Had a 9:15 pm reservation for a Friday night. Around 11:00 pm until closing time the crowd started to thin out. Fun atmosphere and decor. Great music (like a 1970s New Orleans roller rink). Had a great time!

I was very excited in here. Claw machine cocktail was so cooool concept and adult ice cream was super delicious. I strongly recommend pina colada flavor. Lastly, one of staff was seriously good looking. XD

Hidden little cocktail bar down stairs and behind a secret door. Very fun and quirky! We did walk in and manage to get a seat near the bar but I would recommend booking in advance as they was very busy. Great choice of cocktails which are very tasty but quite strong. Loved the different decor! Seems to be very popular as there was a queue to get in when we was leaving. Would recommend a visit!

This was recommended by a colleague and oh my goodness, we had a HOOT! The atmosphere was fabulous, the drinks were excellent and the service was amazing.Reservations are absolutely required. If you get lucky enough, you may even get Caron as your server. She’s an absolute gem and knows her stuff.We can’t wait to go back to Edinburgh, and when we do, Hoot is at the top of the list!

A secret bar hidden away with amazing vibes, amazing service and amazing cocktails. You can choose your flavour and spirit and they will make you a bespoke cocktail based on that. That staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is great. I’d definitely come back here. My only flaw here, if you are doing a 50s “speakeasy” bar, it would be great to be fully immersed, maybe 50s music would be a touch as well? Thank you!

Very fun concept, there’s plenty to explore in the bar’s design. Innovative menu with very good drinks and friendly service. I preferred sitting at the bar to the table experience. The Corpse Reviver Slushie actually worked.

Cozy cocktail bar with a wide variety of drinks!The pick machine was out of order, but thankfully the wonderful bartender was sti able to surprise us with a drink :)Will definitely come back next time I'm in town!
