The best place in London for steam and dry heat treatment without it becoming a costly elite spa. The only real difference is if you want a massage here, then you offer one to someone and they give you one in return. There are mixed days and gendered days.The more than any space in London this place is a shared space by completely different communities, because it is affordable and practical for heart, skin, and mental health. Each time you go you encounter groups of friends of diverse cultures coming here periodically and sharing the space.Sorry to disappoint folk hoping for a gay cruising-sauna experience, this isn’t that space. Staff regularly walk through spaces to check for heavy-petting, when finding it asking you to leave to avoid it upsetting other customers. The most you’ll get here is sexual tension and chance to meet someone here and take them elsewhere for that fun.The kitchens last orders are at 8:30pm so place your order when you arrive and collect it during a break around then if your there late. Good menu and rare places offering sarsaparilla based drinks. I’ve been coming here for years and seen it go from a charity that massage therapy trains people between work… to self-built space with donated furniture etc… to now, post-covid a more streamlined, more durable service.The booking system does not keep member info, you create a membership each time and you have to book and pay online now. Bring a £10 returnable deposit for the locker. I suggest bringing your own towel, shower gel/shampoo, massage oil, flip flop sandals, or you can buy their’s. Swimwear is optional at least on the gendered days. Worried about your hair they sell a traditional sauna hat you soak in water, along with other specialist traditional spa equipment.

They are renewed for a some time. New Russian sauna (Banya), cold plunges and a little pool are all you need to feel east European Sauna (Banya) experience like in Lithuania, Latvia, Poland etc. I would definitely recommend if you want that Banya experience here (it's like you'll be in East Europe, with ancient Vanics). Just come and see and feel the difference :)

I went for the first time and it won't be my last! This place is amazing. The steam room is the best I've experienced. The cold plunge pool was so good too. The sauna is the hottest sauna I've sat in. It's an overall great place to just unwind and relax your mind.

Initial impression was a bit uncertain but I was quickly persuaded by the unpretentious atmosphere and richly varied clientele : Jewish , gay , Japanese , Jamaican , Polish etcThe aesthetic highlight was undoubtedly the dry sauna with the wall of rock salt bricks which change colour . In many years of going to such places this is the first time I’ve seen that .The Russian Sauna was closed when I visited but will open again tommorow.

This place is the governor! I have been a customer since 2009 from the good old days to now and not much has changed! The steam is still pucker and banya is the hottest in London! The diversity in the crowd that attends over the years has changed and we love it. Meeting all different types of people with interesting stories is such a pleasure! A few years ago a friend slipped and fell and was badly injured at the baths, entirely the fault of the management, he slipped and fell in a puddle of soapy water that shouldn't have been in the dry area. New Docklands steam baths then issued a falsified statement to try to prevent him making a compensation claim. I was forced to issue a legal statement to clarify the situation and ensure he got the compensation he was entitled to. The steam baths promptly barred me from using the facility again, the person who barred me said this action was On behalf of the management and trustees". I would urge anyone thinking of using this facility and think again and avoid this place like the plague.I recently complained to New Docklands about this incident. They responded to say that the club is under new management and they had no record of the incident. The email reply didn't include the name of the respondent. The above-mentioned false statement issued by New Docklands to try to prevent my friend's compensation claim was a handwritten one

I’ve been going here for almost 5 years. This is my favourite place in London that has an amazing atmosphere, very social and diverse crowd, lovely staff and great facilities! They always improving the place and it just keeps getting better. You will definitely meet a lot of friendly and interesting people here. This is not like any other place in London and probably the best way you can spend your evening.

I've been to New Docklands twice, each time I've brought a male friend the week before their wedding day as a treat. It's affordable, fun, full of kind people and a great experience. Moving from the steam rooms into the ice cold plunge pool and back again swirls the blood around your body and seems to charge my body up with vital energy. There is a veranda to smoke on and great restaurant for after your session. I can't recommend it enough, a secret gem in London that transports you to another place and time in the city's history.

I was there for the first time... the new sauna is wonderful, I spent a few wonderful and peaceful hours. I will definitely come back with great love!
