After the first Christmas with our new kitchen all I can say is thank you Lorne for giving us the kitchen of our dreams. Right from the outset the team were very engaging snd work progressed at a rapid rate. The fact that the team had experience with what we required was evident and Lornes suggestions only made the project look even better.I would highly recommend Lorne and his team and we will be using them again in the future.

From the very first meeting we had with Lorne, he inspired confidence in the project we had in mind. Not only was the brief followed and delivered in time, he and his team also went over and beyond in delivering a seamless service, from start to finish. The attention to detail was amazing, no shortcuts. It was not an easy job and we are very grateful to Lorne and his team for making it work.The team were friendly & courteous, they got on with the job without us having to get directly involved. Everyday we were amazed how fast the project was progressing. They took great care in looking after the property and everything was left cleanly and safely at the end of each day.Special mention to the amazing stone mason who was first class. He underpinned an old wall with a skill that is rare to find these days. We were blown away by the result. Not only that, but he also fixed some brick paving that had come away with time. What a wonderful gesture and we are truly grateful. We never got to say thank you to him but please pass on our compliments to him.All in all, we would heartily recommend HBS without any hesitation. Lorne and his team did a fantastic job for us at very short notice and at the most difficult time of year, immediately before and after the Christmas/ New Year holiday! They worked hard to complete the required new roof to a high standard and in the time available. The interior was then painted, decorated and both inside and out were left clean and tidy with all debris removed. We are delighted with the finished work, completed on time despite some inclement Scottish weather!Would highly recommended Helensburgh Building Services.A great job Lorne. Many thanks.

Living abroad and overseeing the work from afar, reliability was very important, and Lorne & his team did an excellent job, adapting to timing of visits and adjusting the services as needed. We highly recommend Lorne and his team who took two chimneys out and a wall down to create a family kitchen diner. The team did an amazing job, from the building works to the joinery and then the plastering. Every part of the work was perfect and the attention to detail was incredible. The team were polite and respectful of our personal space. As the works progressed a tidy up operation took place daily. We can’t fault any of the work and the room that has been created is an amazing family space. The cost was very reasonable and great value for money when compared against other quotes. Overall we are delighted and wouldn’t hesitate to use HBS again for the further work needed in our house refurb project.

Highly recommended. We needed a reputable building company for our house renovation after our previous provider badly let us down with just 2 weeks to our deadline. Lorne and his team were brilliant pulling out all the stops and supplying all the expert work team for the house to get completed. Very high standard of work and excellent communication. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Lorne and his team at Helensburgh Building Services, a truly professional outfit. We were somewhat disillusioned during the early stages of our project after speaking with so many different builders, and receiving vastly different information and quotes, and nobody seemed to be able to provide all of the skills in-house.After meeting Lorne and talking over the details and our requirements, it was a breath of fresh air to speak with someone so professional and switched on, who was able to provide clarity, a clear indication on price, technical advice and all of the services required. This instantly put our minds at ease and we were confident to choose HBS.We were given a fixed price and the opportunity to agree upon contractual inclusions/exclusions and an estimated 5-6 month build for a single storey extension (living room, bathroom, utility room and office).Lorne and his team delivered our pro-jet on time and within budget.HBS has a very skilled workforce for all stages of the works - site clearance, groundworks, brickwork, joinery, plumbing etc. It was a pleasure to have HBS working at our home every day and the attention to detail, work ethic, quality of workmanship and general tidiness was clear to see and much appreciated. Also, the small things like chatting with our kids and letting them sit on the digger was much appreciated! All staff were professional and approachable and very skilled.We were able to adapt and improve the design through the build process to ensure the finished product ticked all the boxes. Another great aspect of the service HBS provided was really good communication – whether this was product ordering, building warrant approvals or general programme – it really made all the difference.We would highly recommend HBS – many thanks to Lorne and his amazing team.

Lorne and his team transformed my garden. Excellent quality work and the workers were all so polite and helpful. The job turned out to be bigger than anticipated but they never asked for more money. This is a building company with integrity and I would very happily use again.

I can’t thank Lorne and his team enough for my kitchen extension. I am totally blown away with it . Turned out so much better than my expectations. Lorne has such an eye to detail and his suggestions into tweaking here and there payed off in such a big way .
