Apple Taxis

Spoke to a lovely person on the phone to book my cab in advance. She was very understanding and helped me figure out which entrance to go into for the hospital visit.Thank you Liz your a star⭐️

Apple taxi only exists because they’ve been around for long enough that they happen to be the first company to show up on google when you search “taxi”. Apple taxi is in the period of the business cycle called “ready to liquidate” because they seem to have given up completely (look at their other reviews). They seem to have forgotten the meaning of *customer service*, and for that reason I’m sticking to other, smaller, better taxi companies.

Absolutely Disgusting service, The driver picked us up and drove for 5 minutes before pulling over on the side of a dual carriageway to demand payment upfront, putting all our lives at risk from traffic approaching from the rear. Was we also required to tip up front for a service not yet received? Never have i felt so unsafe requiring a service from a local business!.Apple Taxis ....Now rotten to the core! Avoid!

Worst and RUDEST taxi company ever encountered. How dare you speak to a customer like that, especially after already taking their money. Completely unwarranted and then claiming that even after reconfirming a taxi earlier in the day - it “wasn’t the companies fault” because “it would've been a call in Pakistan”. A complete shambles and nothing like I’ve ever encountered. I hope to get my money back, but I don’t hold out hope.

After a previous high rated review, it was certainly time to update this to reflect on the awful service that is apple taxis. The driver was pleasant and friendly, so no negativity towards this part of the journey. But what a shambles the customer service is from the operator. Awful communication, rude, disinterested, blunt and so on. Will not be using the apple taxi mafia in future.

I left my phone in a taxi on a Saturday evening, and within 45 minutes of reaching my destination, I contacted dispatch, who said to call the nextmorining to see if anything had been turned in. After doing that, I was told nothing had been handed in, and the person I spoke to was very difficult and argumentative, and could not answer the question of if the driver was actually told to specifically look for my phone. I then went in-person to the dispatch office by St. Davids, with actual coordinates and a location from google's device finding feature. I was again told nothing had been handed in, there was no way to contact the driver at that time, and then call back at 6pm. I called at 6, was told the same thing, and to call at 11pm. I find it absurd that there is no clear path to report missing property, and nobody can even confirm if this particular driver was informed that a passenger was looking for a phone. The advice to 'call back later' is not helpful, and seems to be a means of waiting for a new member of staff to take over. I do not blame the driver, if they truly weren't infomed, but surely dispatch should be able to contact their drivers and ask them to check for missing property. I've used Apple Taxis for years, and until now have only had positive experiences, and this is very disappointing and will discourage me from using them again in future.

My most recent experience was unpleasant. Have called in advance to book a cab and explained that I would need a car with a big booth because I had 5 big suitcases as I was moving out from my accommodation. Got told that a ride to the train station will cost £30 which was always around £10. After confronting the operator I was told that the price will be standard. Then received an SMS 10 minutes before the booked time that my cab had arrived, however, it wasn’t there. Had to wait for 20 minutes calling the operator asking where is my cab and got told every time that it was “moving” and will be there in a few minutes. Also, got told by the driver when he arrived that I have to pay £10 extra because I had a lot of bags or I can cancel the ride. I was not informed of this when I was on call, when I specifically confirmed I had 5 big bags.Overall, I have been using AppleTaxis for 3 years and drivers come whenever they are free and on their own accord. They also get mad if you come at your booked time and not as soon as they arrive.

Our taxi was on time and Ed who drove us was so friendly, even though we all live in different places he drove us all home to make sure we were safe as we would have walked at night otherwise. We really really appreciate how friendly he was and that he made sure we all got home safe

Shocking service. Taxi was booked over a week ago and both pick up and return paid for which we later discovered was overpriced for the very short journey. Taxi was late despite calling them several times on the day to find out how long it would be. Was repeatedly told it was just minutes away. They showed up 15 minutes late getting us to a wedding just before the bride showed up. We called to ask if the return pick up could be sooner, We were told this was not a problem, however, the driver showed up approx 15-20 minutes late!

Fantastic service last night after the total shambles of a service not delivered by GWR who were supposed to be getting us from Cornwall to London but who instead threw every customer off the train in Exeter with no help, advice or indeed basic communication. Apple taxis quickly and patently dealt with every customer who filed through their office and worked at getting us all home. We had a wonderful driver (please pass on our heartfelt thanks to him) who safely drove us 240 miles home to Essex in heavy rain on a cold windy evening in his clean and comfortable car (and of course then had to drive back to Exeter) Fabulous and impressive service Apple taxis. Thank you
