Very nice experience! Kind people explained how this mill is operating. Lot of history there, made myself a badge (very cool souvenir). Nearby there is Natural reserve, saw some swan's and ducklings.. Enjoyed every minute! Must visit ( you are never to old or young to learn something and see some nice history how it was done back in the day and still running strong).

We visited on one of the few times that it opens throughout the year. Fascinating to see the various volunteers getting the mill working as it would have done all those years ago. Sadly, the small cafe upstairs was too busy and we missed out on enjoying their amazing scones this time round, but definitely recommended and we'll try again next time.We also had a walk around the nature reserve next door, but after the recent deluge, some of the walkways were impassable in trainers, but there was still enough flora and fauna to watch. Sitting on the bench together was enjoyable and watching the woodpecker just above us was a real highlight. As was the damsel flies, kingfisher and stickleback all on parade. Very tranquil.

Visited for the Working Steam Weekend and Agricultural Show on Sunday 8th October and what a fantastic day it was. The weather was superb very warm for the time of the year. There was plenty to see and do with stalls selling coffee, beer and food as well as local art and craft and various other stalls, there was even a sheep shearing demonstration. Was great to see so many vintage steam engines in action and operating all kinds of machinery. the ploughing demonstration was very interesting to watch. The mill was open and working which gave a great insight to how these mills worked back in the day.

It is a wonderful place to visit with family. We went on a Sunday where the Watermill was operational. Many volunteers were explaining each step of the process. Many activities for kids. Has a model of the mill which explains every step. The badge making in upstairs is enjoyable. Given it's 50p per badge.

I took my little granddaughter aged 3 ( who is mad about wildlife) for an afternoon. We took a picnic and ended spending a few hours wandering around the reserve which is so peaceful. We managed to spot a stunning swan!

This is a very interesting place, beautifully preserved working water mill which can be observed in action, very enthusiastic and informative volunteers and a lovely cafe which has amazing chocolate cake and cream teas! The nature reserve is lovely, just be aware that the footpath can be very muddy. Overall a lovely experience for a Sunday afternoon.
