When using this car park I always prepay and book a reserved space as the car park is quite small considering this station is on the East Coast Mainline. Never had any problems. I'm confident that my car is always safe and secure.

Parked here for the day (20th July 2016).It was expensive (£12) but we hoped for decent service......but after paying, the validated ticket wouldn't let us out of the car park. Call-for-help button put us through to hold music with no indication that anyone was at the other end / gone for the day. Eventually took 20 minutes to get out - very frustrating. Clearly they need more support staff. Not a good experience.

As per the only other review, waste of time pre-paying. Having validated my ticket, had to wait 10 minutes for the lady on the other end to find my booking and eventually lift the barrier! No point whatsoever to pre-pay. It's no cheaper and my sister had paid via the ticket machine and exited before me despite my getting to the exit before her! If you can't provide a decent service them don't offer it!

I must have spent many minutes in a queue at this car park as the app is just terrible. People just want to get home and now the second barrier doesn’t even work as an alternative exit!!

Don’t park here for a short stay. Since NCP took over you cannot pay for less than 24 hours worth of parking as and I quote ‘a business decision’ of theirs. Paid £6 for 25 minutes worth of parking.

Right next to the station. Only came here as the LNER car park was full and I was pleasantly surprised that it’s less than half price that I would have been charged in the other one (£25 instead of £56). I used the QR code and had no problems getting in or out and it feels safe enough.

1.12.2018.Plenty of room in car park: however, payment system very confusing - do you pay before leaving car to go to station, or on leaving station? - system very unclear, no ticket was issued on checking in on arrival, and odd that there is no barrier on exit. My stay was 18 minutes - you get 20 minutes free parking if using the station; however, there was no system on the pay point informing you how long your stay had been as you checked out, nor any indication whether a payment was due....I am now awaiting events.....

£2.50 for upto one hour then jump to £13 for anything over 60 minutes. Robbery! Should be charged for what you use.I was charged the same as someone parking all day for 68 minutes. The carpark directly opposite is cheaper by all accounts.

Great car park, plays a happy tune when you take your ticket. A couple of ways to pay, cash or phone, plenty of floors to choose from, disability places and parent and child spots. Lift down to shopping centre, reasonably priced.

Plenty of spaces, close to the station with quick and simple payment at reasonable prices. Why park anywhere else?
