Went for the gluten free option they do on the first Monday of the month. My partner and I have had dodgy gluten free fish and chips elsewhere (Tailend, hang your head in shame), so we weren't expecting much. We ordered two fish and chips and a portion of fritters as we'd never tried these before.We were absolutely blown away by the quality of the meals. FAR better than we had expected. Fish was large and cooked perfectly with a lovely, light crisp batter. Chips were delicious, and as for the fritters...amazing!!This place is a hidden gem. We will be going here every gluten free night.Thank you so much for providing us with a high quality chippy that just happens to be free of gluten .

old woman behind the counter is a moaning old crow. she bullies the staff and acts like she is the ruler of a communist country. chips are decent but the only reason i go is because it’s handy on the way home. avoid.

I wanted a fish supper, single white pudding and a couple of fritters. They didn't have any fritters! A chippie with no fritters?!? So I asked if I could just have a couple of chips with the white pudding instead - no problem I was told. When I got home I discovered I'd been given (and charged for) a full portion of chips. All bar about ten chips max ended up in the bin.That said, the food was fresh and tasty, staff were polite and friendly

A bit too greasy but it's not healthy eating anyway. Modern wrappers don't seem to take away the grease, better with the old school newspaper.

Second time I've ordered from here, first time was great but tonight was terrible. Got my food after just short of two hours after estimated time. The girl was very nice on the phone when I rang to ask what was going on. One of the orders was a sausage supper, it came without the chips I seam to have been given two and a half fritters in place of them. The food arrived cold also. I know everything is hard at the moment but paying good money for a very unorganised service is very disappointing.

I'm writing my report today 10months after my last visit.We got a sausage supper, steak pie supper and a bag of chips. The sausage was the best part. The chips were very hard and brittle with a lot of small pieces mixed through.The steak pie had a very soggy undercooked base.We will never be back again and we wouldn't recommend this chip to anyone

We usually visit here once a month for the GF Fish and chips, initially the fish was great but the last couple of months, the texture of the fish that we purchased was dry which is a huge disappointment. Hopefully next month whatever is causing this issue can be solved.
