Swansea Council Environment Department

Phoned on a Saturday morning during the Covid outbreak.The fire alarm was going off in a new, unoccupied block of flats behind our houses. Most residents bedrooms are at the back of the house as the front road can get noisy. Got through to security, who contacted the on call officer. She phoned me to find out the address etc. and then spent 4 hours tracking down the keyholder for the properties, who stopped the alarm. Another officer then called at our house to makes sure the alarm had stopped and that we were happy.Could not ask for more.

We are a local business located in Swansea. Had two agents who work for Swansea council came visit to us for an inspection last week. we made a mistake, we did not have a commercial waste licensing in place, so we paid a fine and learned from our mistake. But one of the guy was very rude and aggressive when wording with myself, pointing his finger at me when speaking to me in public. I found it very uncomfortable and embarrassing, bare in mind he’s also twice the size of me, how can somebody so frightening working for a public service!

Rats are a huge problem. You can hear them moving around in the walls on the flats and the flat above. EH eventually come and lay traps but when nothing is caught they say the rats must be gone! They're not!! They don't care it's severely impacting sleep because they run around all night in the walls and ceilings. One star is being to generous.

Absolutely appalling, wanted to complain about the leisure centre in swansea after 6 members of my family became ill after swimming there, it seems the environment dept. does not investigate other council departments, sounds almost corrupt!!

Received a fine through no fault of our own.Tried to pay via telephone number stated.No one answering.If not paid by a certain time it goes up.

There has been a dead sheep on Rhosili beach now for three weeks. Pity our No1 beach is not a priority. well done swansea council.

Usually they do act though don’t hold one’s breath adv it can take upto 4-6!days before getting any reply though have noticed the waste bags all raged photographed as they were each labelled to remove or face the consequences.. Happier now I’d seen this myself as it was ignored over 2 years constantly it’s occurred by the people who’d rented the place out though did notice a lot of glasses frames disposed of in black bags as a recently opened options had also opened about a block away say 200-300 meters that might have come from shop called Baxter’s ( this is my best assumption) if not then it only leaves Specsavers and do know they recycle everything they can ?,,

After booking online to have a bed base collected. They quickly took my money but have not given me a date to collect item. It's been over a week now

Nobody accountable for repeated failures - very poor service that leaves a very disgruntled and unhappy public. See previous reviews. A great shame for those working in the department who do try to do a good job. I wonder if it will ever improve. 14.02.20

Havent collected my bins after complaining several times. Thwyre completely incompitent and when you try to stand your ground they get hyper defensive and passive agressive. They say they will get a manager to call back and never do call. They all need to be sacked
