John McMullen's work is truly outstanding. He is a complete perfectionist, and the work is done to the highest possible standard, on time, on budget, tidily and always with a smile. We have had the following things made: wardrobes (for 5 bedrooms) made, bookcases, a TV cabinet, window seats and radiator covers. We have never had a problem and some years later, the items still look like new. We cannot recommend John highly enough.

Super straight-forward to deal with, great quality and fantastic value. John took the time during the installation to make sure we are left very happy with the job despite having to work within the constraints of an extremely wonky space. Talented and professional. Would 100% use again.

John is an absolute gent & a carpentry wizard. He fitted alcove cupboards and shelves in our living room and two wardrobes upstairs. When we first got in touch, John was able to come over to measure up the space within just a few days, and helped us work out the best thing to do (we are homemaking novices to say the least). He understands the wonky nature of a Victorian house & was able to make last minute adaptations to make sure everything fitted perfectly. Even better, after we ripped out the existing Victorian wardrobe - leaving the space in quite a state - he was able to sort it without us needing to get a plasterer in which was such a relief. The work was completed in just a few days, and him and his team left the place spotless. We have already recommended John to all of our neighbours. We will definitely be getting him back in when we have completed our dormer extension next year. Thank you John!

John has previously made some alcove shelves for us so I knew he’d do a great job of fitted wardrobes. They were made up and colour matched off-site so the fitting took less than a day and mess free. Really happy with these beautiful period style wardrobes which have a handy pull down rail. John also did rounded corners on request which we love.

John and team installed 2 fitted wardrobes, a storage cupboard and a bespoke mantle piece for our new home. We are absolutely thrilled with his work. The quality and attention to detail is exceptional. We can’t recommend him and his team highly enough.

We are so delighted we discovered John. He built us traditional alcove cabinets with shelves above and shelving in another alcove, plus a custom window seat storage for our wonky terraced flat. The quote was not the most expensive, in fact really affordable, and his expertise and willingness was obviously streets ahead of the others we had in on first meeting him - working out how to deal with the tricky spacing and unlevel unequal floors and alcoves amazingly. He did the original build super fast since we were on a tight time frame, and then worked unbelievably hard on the installation day to get it done in one day to help us fit around around other trades. The work itself is stunning - beautiful, precise, and has transformed the property, bringing it back to its old period charm. The attention to detail is incredible - he problem solved our issues with electrical point locations and everything immaculately. Can’t recommend highly enough and my friends are already asking for his details!
