About the Business
The Vulcan Works - Story of Leicester | Brothers Josiah and Benjamin Gimson started their engineering business in 1842. The Vulcan Works was built for their Company between 1876 and 1879. It was one of the earliest in Britain to combine an iron foundry with an engineering works.

Parking shocking, no one seems to be bothered about people having to enter the site in larger vehicles and having to manoeuvre! Vans just dumped anywhere there is a space, whether it's in the way or not!
