It's a great area to go fishing and just generally explore the meny small islands that you can see throughout the lake. The surrounding towns and villages are lovely with great scenery kind people and amazing food! I would definitely recommend the lake and it's surrounding areas!

Beautiful scenery around the Lough. Spend the day relaxing in the sun and having a picnic. Lovely place to go for a walk about the Lough or to just sit and relax to admire the scenery. Plenty of other stuff to do about the Lough and infact you can go for a swim in some parts although the water is very dirty looking. I would say that some parts about the Lough aren't as nice as people have left rubbish behind which kind of takes away from being one with nature. There was also no official parking at the part of the Lough I visited.
