Rykneld View Nursing Home

My mum is very happy at Rykneld view, a kind and caring home with a dedicated and committed staff. It has a friendly and welcoming feel, so new residents can quickly feel at home. Rooms can be personalised so residents are surrounded by familiar things, which is important with dementia. My Mum’s life is enriched with all the daily activities and constant interaction with staff and residents. Gemma, the activities manager is amazing, and provides a full schedule of events and activities for the residents to enjoy together. They are one big happy family!Thank you to all the staff at Rykneld View for your kindness and support!

I have had both of my grandmas live here and they both recieved exceptional care, my grandma recently passed away here and the care she recieved and the care that we recieved as a family was to be commended. The home brought a funny lovely side out of my grandma that was a joy to see and nothing was ever too much.i will be forever grateful for this

My grandmother was neglected there and they didn't take any responsibility lied to us claiming she had eaten. Not according to the paramedics on her OBS its stated she not are or drank for 48 hours, her feet were black went to remove dentures and discovered there were tablets stuck in there. Questioned their nurse denied knowledge. My grandmothers life was stolen by their poor practice. Shame on you !!!!

Mum became a resident at Rykneld view in June 2022, being in Rykneld View was a positive move it was a welcoming and friendly atmosphere from ALL members of the staff which enabled her to flourish and become alive, her memory became sharp again. She liked to join in with the activities and if couldn’t alone be supported by a member of staff. Mum was happy there until she sadly came to the end of her life in June 2023. The Standard of care from going in and being looked after to being nursed at the end of her life was professional, compassionate, caring, and friendly to both Mum and the family and was always made to feel welcome. The home was always clean and smelt nice. My only criticism is that it looks tired and needs updating.

I have worked here for over 3 years and it is a warm and friendly home.

Good place to work but no in new Manager. I been there and really to say, how can you work with so much pressure from them to see you living and no come back to work because am from different country. Good for me to no be there anymore but I'm so sorry for residence. With new system, I hope are okay and not worst. They need to spend more money in proving that place and for staff special.Happy to don't see anymore names in my Review???But my review will stay on, sorry for any inconvenience.

I would not recommend this home to anyone

I was well impressed with this care home and the new owners and I strongly reccomand it to everyone.Well done so far!
