Arrived earlier than we had booked having explored and walked for hours. Happy to just chill with a drink outside. Staff asked us if we would like to eat earlier than we booked, we were hungry so delighted to do so. The pub is a wee gem, the staff are attentive, friendly but overall professional, you watched them working as a team, kind and supportive of each other. The food then, the charcuterie was stunning and so large was boxed up for us to take home for supper. Every cheese was described, as were the meats and pickles. Win win. Then the sea trout...The king of fish in our opinion, cooked simply and the star of our meal. Advised not to order sides with this due to size of starter. I truly cannot wait to return with some other loved ones. Scottish food and hospitality at its finest.

Lovely old pub, very welcoming and cosy. Serves a great pint of Murphy's too. Didn't eat there on this occasion but seems to be popular and was taking a lot of bookings when we were there.

Really nice place. Had my lunch here. A soup and a sandwich and my fave, sticky pudding. All great. I've asked for still water and they brought a bottle with cucumbers which was lovely. Had to pay for my lunch 13.30£, had a coffee also and had the water for free. Next time I'll try the halloumi dish as wasn't available.

Visited Aug 2021 with friends for a wedding anniversary meal for my wife and I. Fantastic old pub in a good location and the food was excellent. Highly recommend!!

Such a cute cosy pub. Very happy with everything, especially the staff and food choice, being dairy-free, gluten-free and egg-free (MM).

We ate outside in the tented style area. My wife had the focacia n Hummus which she really enjoyed and I had the special of toulouse sausages with greens n onion gravy and herb mash. Delicious.

A really nice space and lovely staff.Had asparagus for starter (actually it's a side on the menu) which was delicious and perfectly cooked.Trout with risotto (special) for main - also very nice but I think the fish was sliiiiiightly over, probably would have been better if it were done whole but honestly it was very slight, and it was overall really enjoyable.I had ice cream for dessert. You can choose from a selection. I chose chocolate, tablet and raspberry sorbet. The tablet ice cream stood out by far as the best, really creamy and little chunks of tablet through it. Sorbet was nice. Chocolate was decent, cocoa-y but I generally (personally) prefer richer Chocolate ice cream and this wasn't, but of course that's just my preference.Had G+T to drink: Pilgrim's from St andrews which was really good. They had a local one from Crail as well but I didn't try that one (although I have a feeling I maybe already have a bottle at home anyway). Also nice and dog friendly, brought my dog water as priority without my asking and gave me some treats I could give her. And the floor was clean so there was nothing she could eat that might be bad for her (not always something that all 'dog friendly' places think of keeping an eye on).Definitely coming back I can't believe I grew up nearby and the first time I go is after years of having moved away!
