We cannot go to Bakewell without calling in and buying a Chicken and ham and Steak and Stilton pies.Both crisp, all round pastry and stuffed to the rafters with beautiful meat.We're pie lovers and hold these pies at the top of our wish list.Never had a pie of dissapointment from here.You guys need to supply the pubs around the area !

Amazing butchers. Extremely friendly and welcoming. The choice is second to none and the butchers are very helpful. We are staying locally at a self catering cottage, we’ve been in on multiple occasions and have come away with a range of different meats ready to cook which the whole family have loved. Cannot recommend enough! Whether a local or staying on holiday well worth popping in for something fresh and locally sourced!

Great quality and lovely service; have used for years … I like to know the animals are raised super locally and also don’t have far to go at the end. A good life/ a good end … as it were. Recently expanded to pack more in, and include more prepared fresh food to cook (thank you!) but you can’t beat the simple fresh meat!

Purchased Shin Beef from Ginger Butchers when we visited Bakewell a couple of weeks ago I have bought this cut of meat from various Butchers over the yearsI can honestly say that the meat I bought from Ginger Butchers was the best I have ever had absolutely delicious.

A massive THANK YOU to Ed @ Ginger Butchers, who went out of his way to help my Dad who had fallen over, also the two ladies (sorry I don't know your names) who drove him and his car back home last week. I am so grateful.I hoped to thank you personally on Sunday when I popped in, but unfortunately you weren't there, but I did get some skin on chicken breasts while I was there... they were delicious by the way, and all the staff were lovely.My Dad is recovering but is quite bruised, and very grateful for your help. XX

Called in today for sandwiches at lunchtime, they were absolutely beautiful. Ham salad and coronation chicken with salad, so fresh, tasty and delicious .

The Ginger Butchers provided a delicious hog roast on our wedding weekend near Bakewell. Kate and Tom were fab with a quick and discrete set up and easily served our party of 100. The rolls were delicious and the veggie option was really enjoyed by the veggies as well! Would highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of being catered for by Ginger Butchers at my friends wedding yesterday.Amazing.The food was top quality. Prepped and cooked the perfection.Super friendly and efficient staff. Nothing was a problem and no mess left at all.I would totally recommend them for outside catering and events.Thank you Emma and your team. You did such an amazing job.

We used Ginger Cooks/Ginger Butchers for our wedding food - the reception canapes and main meal of roast pork - and we couldn't recommend them highly enough! Emma was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the booking and organisation process (we had another caterer pull out in the last few weeks so there were lots of changes that Emma was brilliant with) and the food and service on the day was awesome. We had some electrical issues at the venue which were absolutely not Ginger Cooks' fault, but they dealt with everything brilliantly and with no fuss, which really summed up their whole approach. Thank you so much guys!
