First visit here with my friend and her 2 children, staff are friendly and help full.The food not great but not the worst place I've eaten either. We sat in the play area as we had to young ones with us with was ok but the floors were dirty and tables sticky. They have an amazing selection of cakes on display but when we went to order cake all they had was mint choc chip and chocolate brownie which was disappointing considering they had 5 or 6 on display, we order the choc cip and the brownie they were huge slabs of cake for the money but they were also not very nice either.

Big place with plenty of seating and parking space, a bar, kids area and a Sunday carvery. The carvery was pretty good to be fair and although it's a busy place the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's not the Ritz, it's what you'd expect but I've had carveries elsewhere at twice the price and they haven't been as tasty.If you want a quick, cheap meal then this will do you nicely.

Went for the 1st of 4 festive meals. It started off well with the starter and then went down hill. 1 main course arrived and went cold by the time the staff worked out how to include the carvery. Staff were not informative and the lady behind the bar did not want to help. Although they had decorations up the pub had no atmosphere and it was cold. Overall not in the christmas spirit. Disappointed to be honest.

Excellent food & lots of it.The only downer was the 25 minutes queue to get served. Only the one carver & at one point over 30 people waiting in line. Food was faultless.

Nice environment with great range and large helpings of delicious cakes. Carvery very disappointing: roast beef sinewy, vegetables dried out and unappetising, meet so thinly sliced that you could almost see through it. The gravy and large range of accompanying sauces were, IMHO, the best part of it although my companion thought that the roast turkey was very good notwithstanding the thinnest of slices. Pity.

Arrived late on a Sunday so was lucky to still get a roast. It was delicious! Small area for the children with toy machines. Only downside was the lack of effort on the kids meal. Little one ate the inside of half a nugget. The chips were deffinately cooked left overs and the nuggets were hard. Not our first time and we will visit again, just abit of a shame this time.

My Wife and I and 4 friends arrived in a torrential downpour. We asked if there was somewhere we could hang our dripping wet coats and we told no, then we shown to a booth that would have been suitable for 4 not 6. Where were we supposed to put our coats?. We asked to be moved to a more suitable table, which we were reluctantly. Went to the bar to order food and drinks only 2 bitters and one of those was not available.Our friends had the carvery and we had a mixed grill and fish and chips , these arrived after about a 30 minute wait and they were only warm not hot. This was the first time here and will be the last.

Booked online for 9 pm, as it said, it was fully booked all evening. This was for the family, 2 adults, and two kids. Got seated by the play area and everything was fine, order food, money taken only to be told that the kids had to be out by 9:30pm. After some discussion, they said we could have it as a takeaway, not ideal but better than no food at all this late.There is no mention of this time rule on their website, or when you book a table or stated anywhere in the pub, I can't believe they waited until they had taken our money before they dropped that bomb shell.I feel it should have been mentioned when we were being taken to our table next to the kids' play area. As a result of all this food was warm once we got home and it just ruined the whole experience for us.They did, however, supply us with free cake as a parting gesture for which I'm grateful, but please, put the info clearly in the pub and on the website, the times kids ain't allowed in.

We went on a sunday and it was busy but they managed to squeeze us in outside. Food was good but desserts was amazing.
