Going the same way Tesco's Morrison's and Asda in removing several manned checkouts and installing the unpopular self service points. It's not like Lidl aren't making decent profits but the usual greed is kicking in by cutting back on staff.What was once a decent fast checkout now reduced to huge queues to the 2 checkouts that were open and staffed, one of which closed during my visit.Lidl should be ashamed of this retrograde step in the pursuit of bigger profits. Employ staff !!

Good prices but veg and fruit turn quite quickly. Sometimes a great selection of products other times not so. Not keen on the wait for the till service then being rushed through. Sometimes there are some great offers.

Went in around 7pm, still plenty of bakery stuff left, good selection of fruit and veg too. The self checkout is a big bonus.

Good clean shop only downside on Sunday I called in to buy some shopping and I know you're shop can be busy.But I only had 5 itemsand had to spend 45 minutes in a queue.Think you should have a check out for 10 items or less.9people in front of me had trolly worth of goodiewith over £50

Lidl is one of the finest Shopping mall in York through my experience. I have been to Lidl for a couple of months now. All in one place is what I like most about them. If you visit Lidl you don’t have to look for another grocery store and their groceries price are pretty reasonable.

Good shop but the only complaint is to say the shop was busy and I was not happy waiting in the queue for 36 minutes to pay for 5 items.Maybe you should have a till for 10 items or less.

Make sure you check the prices and add your shopping up before you get to the till. Lidl is always OVERCHARGING.I'm OVERCHARGED on some things almost every time I visit.Check the price and know how much your shopping is before you pay, use the calculator on your phone!!I'm always OVERCHARGED but never ever undercharged! Funny that isn't it.Response from owner or customer service? Don't bother.... NO excuse for ripping the customer off.I've complained many times to different lidl about this but it still happens. And it only seems to happen at a lidl store.Check the prices people.
