This is a very nice hotel - one of the best we've stayed in for ages.Central location, easy parking, super-comfortable room with a beautiful view, helpful friendly staff, excellent dinner, extremely clean everywhere. There's even a USB port in the plug sockets by the bedside tables.A slightly chaotic breakfast did nothing to spoil the experience and we'll certainly stay there again. As close to a perfect night's stay as you could ever expect to get.

We had a lovely meal after Christmas lights switch on in the town. The service was very good with friendly and welcoming staff. The food was excellent and I really enjoyed the butternut squash and blue cheese risotto special. My husband had a beef steak pudding, and he couldn't fault it. Will definitely be visiting again.

It's not bad, as in not-bad.I was in room 7 and at 6'2 had to duck all over the room to safety stay in there. No lift for elderly folks and thw stairs are the characteristic wonky. Parking is limited so be sure to get there early. For what I paid at £120 a night, I was royally ripped off and would say £80 a night is a fair price.Breakfast was also on the small side. Overall I'd not recommend it or revisit.

Stayed over whilst visiting family in Launceston. Our room was excellent. Breakfast cooked fresh and very good. Are in on the Saturday night and it was very busy. An 80th party. A wedding and the local cricket descended for drinks. Staff were overwhelmed, but very apologetic for the delay. Would stay again.

Wonderful food, balanced flavours and some great gin. Had our wedding back in July 22 and it was everything I had hoped for, for our big day. The staff were so attentive and after being there for dinner I can say it wasn’t just because I was the bride, they just ate that fabulous.

Pap service. 2 guys attempting to run it should stick to whatever they were doing before they inherited this place. Got overcharged and the more miserable one spilt my drink all over the table when delivering it then disappeared and left me to clean it up myself. Michelin star pretence in a Wetherspoons setting

One night stay.An unexpected find. After a few days in Cornwall, we wanted to stay longer as the weather was glorious. We planned for the Bank Holiday but didn't realise it was half term as well.Everywhere was booked up, so we decided to cut our trip short. On our way back, we just couldn't give up as it's a long journey back home.Franticly searching for somewhere to stay, we came across here.We managed to book one of their superior rooms for the night.Which they allowed our dogs to stay in.Situated in Launceston, 200 metres from Launceston Castle. The hotel has a garden, free private parking, a terrace, and a bar.The food was very good too,all freshly cooked to order.Breakfast in the morning was included. It's a lovely historical place and even has its own wickipedia page. The staff are young and very friendly, and their manager Geo is an asset to the business. It was enjoyable for an unplanned stay and very memorable.
