Brilliant village shop! Good range of basics from loo roll to curry paste. Off license for beer, spirits and wines. Newspapers, crisps and sweets, frozen, ready meals etc. Open until 8 or 9pm.Great range of fresh meat and veg, loose so you can buy a single carrot in a paper bag if you like... no plastic.There's a food counter with freshly made hot and cold rolls, pies, cakes and artisan bread.On top of all that is the Post Office counter,

Spent a week in Spofforth village which was beautiful everyone we met was helpful and friendly, however could not say the same for onof the staff in the shop, decidedly off hand and unfriendly, not a good morning g or a smile ever.

I love this shop.Everything you need and more.

We stopped for a coffee here today in the middle of a walk and took two Americanos and a cappuccino to the castle grounds. The coffees were all completely undrinkable and neither smelled or tasted like coffee. I took an untouched Americano back to shop and explained whilst I wasn't looking for a refund I wanted to say that there was a problem with them. The reaction was unbelievable. Instead of apologising or even exploring what could be the problem the first lady simply turned away and blanked me, refusing to engage in any way at all! The second lady then said I should maybe stick to Nescafe! (A Nescafe would actually have been preferable to the hot water without smell or taste I was served) This was without question the worst coffee I have ever been served and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have never given a one star review ever before..until now. If it were possible to give no stars then I would have no hesitation.I really cannot recommend anyone to share the same experience!

Londis mini market+ post office in spofforth , also a deli you can get a great sandwich here, bacon, bacon & sausage , sausage & egg + cold sandwich ham ,beef or just salad, a lot of the produce is locally grown and taste great, there is also a good selection of canned and bottled beers and lager + spirits and tobacco and all served by friendly staff.

Staff at the deli counter are very rude and stubborn. Stood at the counter while the lady proceeded to ignore me. I then took a sandwich off the counter as I was sick of being ignored. She then noticed me where she proceeded to tell me “she would rather me not do that” how about smiling at the customer and acknowledging they are there. Poor service food was good however

This shop is the best shop in Spofforth. If your visiting the village, don't forget to stop by.

This has got to be one of the most unfriendly stores I have ever been in. You say good morning to the staff who never say good morning back. Went in on New Years day and not a smile, warm welcome, nothing, don't deserve any custom

It's a nice little supermarket with the basics plus great looking bread and cakes.The people are nice and friendly (the grumpy ones mentioned in other reviews no longer run it).
