Called in for a browse and ideas for garden , lovely displays, had drink and cake whilst here in restaurants garden area , all well spaced out , had to leave contact details , area immaculate, cake and elderflower drink really good , staff very attentive and friendly , also dog friendly , they also have a miniature train station that runs a few times a week for a small fee

I'd say the indoor part of Brookside isn't as big as some big garden centres. But it's big enough I guess. And they've got the miniature train ride for families with younger kids. Which is a big plus.

One of the best model railways that you can ride on in the area. Really good fun only 2 quid. The garden centres also quite good quality with a really nice cafe. The whole place never get so busy even on the bank holiday.

It was okay. Fairly typical Strikes garden centre but not the best by far. Our cakes and coffees were disappointing: the cakes were dry, dry, dry - barely edible, in fact - and should not have been on sale! I ordered a cappuccino and got an Americana! Stockwise, it was changeover time from Xmas to Spring stock, so many shelves had empty spaces. Toilet facilities excellent. Thank goodness the miniature railway is still there; it's a great unique attraction that I was led to believe in the press had been forced to close to make way for the recently built relief road.

I love this garden centre. It has so much choice and lovely staff but unfortunately; it’s cleanliness levels are just not there.

Disappointing child's lunch. Minimal choice for sandwich fillings, single slice of bread halved and a tad dry, cucumber limp and tasted of tomatoes as though from a mixed salad bowl, carrot sticks, dry, apple had to be swapped as mushy and didnt look washed when served as waxy and stalk dimple, dirty. Poor value for money.

Had a lovely day out and the ride on the minute railway was the highlight of the day for this grown up child!

Well worth visit, they have a good selection of plants and pots. There is also a train for the kids, a model train shop and a fishing tackle shop.

Cute railway and not too dear. The staff make the effort to be welcoming. It something to do on public holidays or if visiting the garden centre.

Lovely garden centre with nice coffee shop. Cakes are very tasty and breakfast brioche rolls are delicious. Coffee and cakes reasonably priced. Variety of products in garden centre, all nicely laid out with plenty of space to move around. Large outdoor area for plants too. Miniature railway for children here also (note not open all the time). Nice place to visit or stop at if passing through.
