I think that the Hertfordshire Building Control need to provide greater awareness of their service. My roof was replaced last year and although the work was completed to a good standard but I had not been provided with a certificate by the contractor. With the help of the Hertfordshire Building Control I was able to have the roof surveyed and happily i can now rest assured that I will have a certificate for the work done. Amber from the the HBC was excellent and patiently carried out the review meticulously checking that everything was inline with building regulations.

I had recently to employ the services of Hertfordshire Building Control for the construction of a single storey building extension. The whole application process from start to finish I found to be very straightforward. Our Building Inspector, Godfrey, visited the site whenever he was needed by our builders to proceed to the next phase of the work. Godfrey was very pleasant to speak to and only too willing to help liaise with Thames Water re: solutions for the Build Over Agreement and Soakaway to secure their approval to proceed. Godfrey certainly went the extra mile to help us as his clients. Great job, thank you.

We had a few visits from a building’s control inspector called Russell Blackman. What a great chat. He was thorough and meticulous with his findings, I found this comforting as I knew that there would be no long term future issues with the building.I also found Mr. Blackman to be both helpful and informative and gave us guidance where necessary. He was extremely polite, well mannered and approachable and it was a pleasure dealing with him and he’s invaluable expertise and knowledge.Thank you so much.

I would highly recommend using Hafiz and his team @ Hertfordshire Building Control, as a builder ive used this company for many years and one inspector in particular Hafiz, we all work on the client’s behalf to ensure the end result they get is done to a high standard and upto building regulations. But it’s refreshing as a builder to work alongside an inspector like Hafiz who is open to suggestion and working out different methods of which are still upto regulations, this is a big deal for us builders as it makes our life easier which in turn is cost effective for the end user the client.
