Bear in my that there only 4 staff dedicated to the entire southwest for the ADHD services, slow times are a lack of funding and staff not due to incompetence. It took 12 months on the waiting list but my actual experience of the appointment and diagnosis was good although reciept of the report is proving slow...

The wait times are long in order to get help, but this is down to their funding.Outside of that I've only had a good experience with my particular workers, who have gone out of their way to protect and look after me during my dark times and life-long struggles. One saved my life. I'm starting to get good therapy and a huge team going beyond the call of duty to get me what I need, and I am thankful.

Completely understand cut backs and limited staff resources with mental health together with exceptional waiting lists. This definitely must impact empathy, joined up thinking and communications. I can only imagine staff do what they can with the limited resources available, it must be frustrating and difficult to retain. Sadly that doesn't help users who are in a very vulnerable position. Helpful and empathetic reception skills are a must.Hope springs eternal.

Weren't very helpful. Decided to discharge me right in the middle of the COVID19 lockdown when I needed someone who I could talk to when my anxiety was getting to me. They rang me up to ask me to do a video call to which I said no because it would be too stressful so they replied OK I will arrange a voice call" Next thing I got from them was a letter arrived informing me that they had discharged me."

I would give this service minus. Stars. They were awful and damaging as in 2018. Can't believe in nearly 6 yrs they are still offering the same archaic emotional regulation course that is a mixed group doesn't take into consideration females that have experienced trauma from men. I was gas lit yesterday asking for a psychiatric assessment because I believe I have Bi polar and all the symptoms. History repeats itself I was diagnosed by care coordinator by the Somerset lot and knew I had cptsd. I pushed for a psychiatric assessment and she diagnosed in my 12 mins. These staff on the phone have no right to diagnose u without a proper assessment they aren't psychiatrists! They are useless @ drive people to suicide.

What's the point of having a telephone number, email and a reseption if no one answers you. Have been discharged from the clinic to pick up my ritalin from my local gp. Problem is, Is the clinic haven't told my gp I have been discharged and my gp needs me to go back again to the clinic ask for a permissions slip. I can't get through to anyone at the clinic. It's been well over 1 month without medication. Life without medication is hard and my anxiety is through the roof all because petherton road has terrible communication. Can't stress this anymore. They are terrible

I cant say that the triage appointment itself was bad. I had suspicions that adhd was a part as its in my family. The wait time for the appointment wasnt awful. However, it just feels like they want to be rid of you. Ive always scored highly on autism assessments. Additionally, my sensory needs seem to be worse now im more aware of them. I went through for an autism diagnosis and was told i was highly likely adhd. They go very closely hand in hand...The assessor picked up all the adhd symptoms and when i went to talk about my autism. He would go back to discussing obviously adhd symptoms. So was it really an autism appointment... its safe to say I will manage my current symptoms and i will join the adhd waiting list. However, I might have to go private. I shouldn't have to though. It just feel as though they dont actually want to help.

This place is DISGUSTING DISGRACEFUL AND VILE. None of the staff care about their clients". Assessment aren't carried out properly - not allowed to finish answering important previous questions without being rudely interrupted with another question. No real care. All clients are brushed off with awful phone line services. Reception staff are so careless they hang up when in desperate need of real care and have no consideration or care that they push clients into suicide. If you have an appointment here PLEASE DONT GO

Never answers the phone?! Tells me i will be discharged because i missed 2 appointments when i have ADHD?! Not sure what they expect but it would help if they actually sent you letters and reminded you when it is! The first appointment i misses was booked 3months in advance die to the wait.. how they expect you to remember everything but yet they ‘specialise’ in people with disabilities like ADHD.

The staff at Petherton Resource are absolutely useless. I have been waiting 7 months to see a Psychiatrist for a diagnosis and hopefully, some sort of therapy. My two Specialist Recovery Navigators, who are also CPN's seem committed to misunderstanding me. You are supposed to have a meeting every two weeks and a telephone call in between for half an hour. It will 36 days from my last appintment to my next. The CrisisLine staff who you are encouraged to call if you are in a Crisis, are hopeless, as they seem to have no idea how to calm, reassure and encourage people who are struggling with mental illness. All the staff have have made me feel even more depressed and anxious, and I will be taking Advice from Mind and hoping to getting therapy from somewhere else. It is too little too late... with these people...
