The Society of Photographers

I have been the 3 year at the convention and I love it. Everything is organized very well and it is an fantastic opportunity for education. The tradeshow has a lot of different vendors and it is the perfect place to meet other photographers and find new friends and inspiration.

This is such a supportive and friendly society, I have been a member for a few years now and recently upgraded to Pro membership. The Mentor Me programme gives very well balanced feedback and has clearly defined criteria, it's invaluable in helping you develop in your chosen genre(s). Whilst it's always great to receive to receive positive words the tweaks and areas for improvement that are covered will help any photographer grow and develop. Highly recommended!

Quick 20 minutes call with Terrie and things are so much clearer now. I had no clue where to start with submitting my panel and she broke it down into small pieces and I’m ready to go. She also mentioned that I can sign up my colleagues so it’s a wonderful incentive for them! Her knowledge is incredible. I’m so lucky I got a slot to chat with her. Thank you!

I have been a member of SWPP since 2017. It’s one of the best decisions I have made as soon as I started photography. The conventions are game changers which will give a great boost at all levels. I love attending them, there is something for everyone no matter at what level you are in your business or creative journey. The monthly competition and mentor me program are added bonus if you are up for some challenge.

My wife and I have been members for many years now, and it really has benefited us both in terms of knowledge and skill-sharing, introductions to really useful connections, and great socials and friendships. Apart from being very widely respected in the industry, The Societies also hosts the largest photographic convention in Europe, and attracts attendees from all over the world. It has definitely taken our business to levels which we wouldn't have achieved without being members.

The Societies is just a great place to hang out. The Forums, Facebook Group and Competitions are fantastic. There is a real sense of community with The Societies and the mentoring programme is the icing on the cake. I qualified as an Associate with the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers and I'm currently building a portfolio for a Fellowship submission. If you're thinking of taking your photography to the next level or are just wanting a place to share ideas with like-minded people then you can't go wrong.

The support from the societies is amazing. They’re always so positive and make me want to be the best photographer I can be. The mentoring is so insightful and has helped me make small changes that make a huge difference to my final work. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Being a member of The Societies (SWPP) has been a fantastic experience so far. Everyone is very approachable and supportive. The Societies is an amazing community for all photographers at all levels. The mentoring, qualifications, competitions and more recently the judging training have all been exceptional. It is a great place to learn and meet amazing photographers that are there to support you through your journey and have some fun along the way.

I recently attended a 2-day judging school organised by The Societies of Photographers, and it was a sheer delight from start to finish. The insight into what the judges look for in a print competition is a game changer, particularly if you want to take your photography to the next level. It's about more than just sitting and listening. It's hands-on with guidance from experienced judges with a wealth of knowledge. You will come away with information which will help you to prepare for your next print for competition. Moreover, attending the judging school is the first step in becoming a qualified judge for The Societies of Photographers. Hight Recommended.
