The Secret Campsite

We had a great time at the secret camp site. Lovely staff and pretty noise free. The nearby walks are fantastic as well. Hope to be back soon!

I went here for a quiet weekend away with my partner. We chose this place as it was in an idyllic spot and it stated no music or noise after a certain time.Unfortunately on the second night, there were at least two tents playing music until 3am in the morning and a screaming child until 2am. Sadly this was not a quiet getaway.The facilities were okay but aware they are currently building a new shower and toilet block which looks good.The pitches are spacious and have a place to make a fire. They also have a shop where you can get some necessities that you need.

I’ve just spent the weekend at this campsite. I can honestly say it’s the most peaceful, relaxing and charming campsite. It truly is nature at its finest. Listening to the dawn chorus, watching the rabbits , squirrels and other wildlife.You get your own pitch with ample room and fire pit.Toilets and shower block are clean and spacious with hot water.The staff were amazing and welcoming. Steffi was polite , helpful and always smiling .I would highly recommend this campsite.A true piece of heaven tucked away in East Sussex.

We have just come back from an amazing week from this placeIt was one of those holidays where less is more. The Secret Campsite is more of an experience than a campsite. No light pollution, no cars driving up to neighbouring pitches at midnight, just generously sized pitches that are surrounded by nature in all its glory. We had an excellent service from Tim, the campsite owner, who was very friendly, chatty and helpful. He really has created a magical campsite that steps away from the traditional approach of having a big field with pitches a few feet from each other, but more like a nature reserve with oodles of space to breathe and explore. Come here to detox, to unwind, to disconnect from the noise and stress of life and to connect to nature. The birdsong here is terrific with a dawn chorus that is second to none. Put simply, I loved it here, and it felt like a unique and special place quite different from anywhere I have stayed before.

The Secret Campsite is amazing: a brilliant, family-orientated, peaceful haven in the countryside. If you’re looking for organised activities, play parks, pools and on-site bars, this is not the place for you… on the other hand if peace and quiet, wildlife, kids playing in the woods and walks in the countryside are your cup of tea, look no further. We’ll be back!

Great weekend at the Secret Campsite - the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Gave us a map which showed the best walks in the area.The Campsite was private and spacious. They also provided wheelbarrows to move your belongings from your car.The facilities are close to the campsite and they were very clean. They have warm showers/ area to wash up/ drinking water taps - everything you could need.I would definitely return!

Absolutely loved our first stay at the Secret Campsite. Great tree tent. Lovely walks in the area. Amazing staff. Very clean and convenient.

Perfect getaway for total relaxation. Wake to the dawn chorus and fall asleep listening to the owls, absolute bliss. Spending time just chilling and enjoying the wildlife all around. We love the meadow, where you get a bat flying display at dusk, then settle down for glow worm spotting as the light goes. We'll be back again next year for our essential Autumn break.

Lovely staff. Sites well kept. The new wash room was very comfy. You can buy firewood and the town is not far to grab some food. Pretty much one of the top camping site available.

Just got back from another weekend stay at the secret campsite. As ever, the location is gorgeous (it seems to get prettier every time we visit). The staff were brilliantly friendly (a special shout-out goes to Steffi from a very excited 7 year old) and we had a fantastic time. I’m not sure why but the new shower / toilet block just makes it better. We loved it - and are now desperately trying to find a date we can go again!
