Went to pick up a piece of machinery for hire today after receiving an email the day before stating a price. When I got there the amount of mandatory charges they had slapped on top was ridiculous. Cancelled the order and left would never go back.

Great people, really helpful and friendly - couldn't do enough for me. They were happy to help me make sure I had the right tool for the job. Prices were very good and they delivered nice and early so I could get on with a days work. Overall, I'm one very happy customer and would recommend them to anyone.

Over the period of 2 weeks we have hired a range of equipment from Smiths hire. Staff were helpful with the information shared, loading and unloading the equipment.We had issues with one piece of equipment over the weekend which resulted in us losing a full days work. Fantastic service and the team couldn't be more helpful for my parents. The guys in the sales counter went out of their way to get the best prices for them and the delivery/ collection was bang on time. Much appreciated and we will certainly be using them again in a few weeks time. Highly recommend
