Chiltern Piano Gallery

I bought a brand new Waldstein baby grand from Chiltern pianos. Jack was very knowledgeable and really helpful. The piano came with a free stool as well as the interest free 'help to play' loan scheme. The guys who delivered the piano took great care of the piano and my house. Would thoroughly recommend them.

I was most impressed by the friendly help J&M provided for me to get the right piano. It is a very relaxed environment for you to play or listen to the amazing pianos they provide. I was fortunate enough to be shown the craftsmanship in the workshop that goes into making sure these pianos are sold in the best condition. I would highly recommend J&M and have the best piano I have ever played.

I bought my piano a year ago (a Steinbach from Hamburg originally) and have been very impressed with it. The customer service was excellent from the moment I looked at all the wonderful pianos and was shown the piano restoration room on my first visit , to the moment the piano was so carefully delivered to my home. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Professional and knowledgeable. Everyone bent over backwards to make me feel welcome, and have always been very helpful with any further questions or queries I have had since. I am now the very proud owner of a beautiful sounding piano at a very reasonable price.

Fantastic piano tuning-Steinway Model D

My 1974 Yamaha U3 arrived last week from Chiltern. It's an absolutely splendid instrument, and I got a great deal. I've been playing it for hours every day and I love it more every time I sit down at it. Pre-sales was excellent. I spent hours in the showroom trying many pianos and he made me feel very welcome, as well as answering all of my questions in a really straightforward and helpful way. There wasn't any pushiness at all. The delivery drivers were great, too.However, after-sales has been pretty poor & communication almost non-existent. I reported the stool as faulty but no replacement has been sent and emails don't get responded to. It took a great deal of effort to get the post-sale tuning done - eventually sorted (no replacement stool brought, though) but no communications since then so I guess I'm on my own for maintenance now. It's a shame, because I do think it's a good piano and I couldn't speak highly enough of pre-sales support.
