Wonderful wine tasting. Great atmosphere, stunning wines and fabulous service. Highly recommended.

We went to Calancombe today for the self guided tour. It was such a beautiful place and the staff were so lovely that we ended up staying for the wine tasting and lunch. Jonathon, the chef, was fantastic …incredible food, cooking from only locally or on-site grown produce, and Amy was a fantastic front of house. Such a friendly, warm environment, not to mention incredible wines - we couldn’t believe Devon could produce such amazing grapes!. This is the ultimate destination for an all round experience. Must go! Thank you for having us.

Fantastic local vineyard with delicious food and very knowledgeable staff who are happy to talk you through the wines as required. Very reasonably priced bottles to take away too. Has to be a regular venue to visit when in the area. The Gins looked interesting upstairs too.

Enjoyed our visit, luckily we're in walking distance so were able to fully enjoy the lovely wines. Food good too! And, Amy was the icing on the cake, very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you.

Went here for the sparkling wine tour and it was exquisite! We got the tour from the chief winemaker who was so informative and insightful about the whole process and made it so personal. The vineyards are very impressive, as is the restaurant. We tasted four very nice wines, and had the most generous cream tea with it - with the chef offering more jam and cream if needed! The front of house/manager was so friendly and told us everything we needed to know about the different bottles.It was a really great experience all round and the service was just the best we have experienced for a long time, making us feel so relaxed and welcome that you will want to go back again. What a hidden gem!! (Definitely recommend the bottle of sparkling attached!)

We had such a lovely experience at Calancombe Estate yesterday. Beautiful views, amazing food and wine. And the service was second to none.We did the self guided tour and wine tasting and thoroughly enjoyed it.Highly recommend.

A superb visit to the Calancombe Estate. Given a tour by Jonathan and then a walk round the estate. So beautiful and peaceful it was an absolute joy. As was the wine and gin we had back in the restaurant. We were tempted and thoroughly enjoyed the cheese the charcuterie and the olives. Totally unbelievable the waiting on staff were perfect as was Jonathan. Thank you so much for a splendid experience. We shall return!

Amazing place a little gem lucky to be on our doorstep, fabulous food and wine.We enjoyed the vineyard tour and our guide Amy was knowledgeable, friendly and extremely professional. Recommend a visit it will not disappoint.

A fantastic small winery! The grand tour package was fantastic, so insightful and the guide was excellent! You could tell all involved were passionate about wine and their produce. The charcuterie board was brilliant and as were the cheeses. I look forward to seeing this estate rise to prominence!

There were four of us (July 22nd, 2021) and we really enjoyed our visit and the wines we tasted. The sparkling wine tasted just as good that evening, when we got home, as it did during the tasting session. As with anywhere in this part of Devon, the roads to get there are very narrow. We enjoyed the walk through a bit of the estate to see the vines and orchard. I was fine in flip-flops but you might want to consider sensible shoes 'cos there are fairly steep slopes and uneven ground. Really interesting tour of the 'barn' where the magic happens too. The staff were very friendly and happy to answers all our questions. We also had food and the 'plates' were excellent. I heartily recommend a visit but you might want to check the prices if you're on a budget, as it is towards the higher end of things and more expensive than Sharpham, for example.
