I am a tenant and have been with Island Lettings for the past 6 years. I have no complaints. They have always acted with professionalism & have been helpful & responsive. Mark in particular has been most helpful & Alan with his property inspection role. One does hear horror stories about Letting Agents, Island Lettings I have found to be both trustworthy, representative & fully professional.

My friend has been very down because of how they were treated when they were about to leave, (or rather forced to leave) , in better terms in the midst of the Pandemic. Had to get a guarantor with ridiculous requirements just to rent the place. And they never got their deposit back.

If you’re thinking of taking a tenancy, be very careful. Don’t take anyone’s word for anything and get all promises or assurances in writing. Take extra photos of everything on the inventory. Any promises of maintenance will probably not be forthcoming.I’ve not left a bad review online for anything before, but this was the single most upsetting experience with any Island company I’ve ever had.

As a first time land lord I was very nervous about renting our property out as the house I own was our family home for many years.I chose Island letting as I was highly recommended by a good friend.This was the best decision I made as all I had to do was sign the paperwork required and Isle lettings done the rest for meThey found me the perfect tenant who looks after what I now call her home 8 years later and I can honestly say they have been great andA very big thankyou and what a fantastic team you all are

I have had excellent experiences with Island Lettings as a tenant. They've always been professional, approachable and I couldn't have asked for anymore. This covers a tenancy for one year in 2011 and a 2.5yr 2017 to 2019. I took good care of my rented flat and upon leaving I followed all of the requirements, cleaned it to a high standard and received my full deposit back. I would highly recommend this quality team of professionals on the Isle of Wight.

Getting your deposit back is just ridiculous. 3 weeks since we moved out and now charging for fair wear and tear!! terrible company. no maintenance issues ever resolved. when we complained they sent someone out again to look because they 'forgot' the original problems and then still not resolved. Also a nice charge every time you renewed your contract which was just not helpful!

My partner had lived at a flat in Newport for just over a year, Not only did they refuse to let us remove the previous tenants stuff, but as they decided to move they became somewhat hostile and refused to give them back their deposit, claiming Those were gifts from the previous tenant". They also had no intent on fixing the water damage from DAY ONE and then decided to PIN IT ON US. To add insult to injury

I love island lettings. I've been with them for 5 years.and they are awesome to deal with.and they are good at managing people who are on benefits. Oh and don't blame IL for landlords or RENT DEPOSIT GUYS,They r not the same.any way love em.and shout out to Alan,Laura,Heidi and all the team.
