Co-op Food - Harold Wood

Excellent customer service, Sarah, the Harold Wood store manager is a true professional . I will highly recommend this store to anyone that needs their quick shopping done at accessible hours and with nice customer care.

Expect a queue. Staff are nice, pity about the supervisors who need a kick up the backside. Never enough people on the tills. When a till staff see's a customer waiting, they dont immediatly ring bell for another collegue to jump on the till. Management need to take a common sense approach and realisethat trains pull into the station opposite every 10 minutes. The bus outside the store leaves at 10, 30 and 50 minutes past every hour. People coming off the train wanting to get a bit of groceries quickly before needing to jump on the bus have a window of 3-4 minutes from when they get off the train to do this or they miss the bus and need to wait 20 mins for the next one. Female manager (I presume because she is not in uniform) has poor customer service skills. No greeting customers with a smile. Will put a carrier bag in front of you expecting you to pack your own shopping. Surely she could be doing this as the customer is dealing with the chip and pin payment system? Can't really take my custom elsewhere as there is no other similarly equiped store in close proximity.

Don’t order Uber eats deliveries from this branch. Illiterate incompetent staff who will get your order wrong or will randomly cancel it without reason.

Good service, good variety with self-service counters, very convenient! Wish their plastic bags however were a little stronger!

A small, well stocked, very busy store. Polite and friendly staff

I am appalled to say that I found a maggot in my happy spring donut as i split it in half. It was still moving and had pus coming out of it. I was as happy as the happy spring donut until I found that maggot. I will not be returning.

A good selection of groceries, but the Coop is expensive in comparison to the prices charged by Aldi and Lidl. I realise they offer a loyalty card, but it is still expensive. It would be interesting to know how the prices compare to Waitrose prices.

This is quite a small Co-op store, yet the range of food available is amazing. Staff mostly go out of their way to be helpful. Some great wines at great prices.

Handy for bits locally, 99% of the time there is a queue, normally because they put 1 member of staff on the till and that staff member has to also assist with the self scan

Ordered a delivery for between 11 & 12 this morning, didn't arrive so after allowing 30 mins for covid & Christmas I called customer service. They're out of stock so had nothing to deliver but didn't call, text or email to let me know they weren't coming. Disgusted!
