The Maltings Dental Practice

I had my teeth straightened with Invisalign at the Maltings. It was really quick (roughly took about 5 months with about 7/8 appointments all in all) and easy to do. Dr Claire Simpson was very professional and warm and her assistant was always very friendly. I'm very pleased with my treatment and the outcome. Thank you!

My appointment today with Mary Hatton did not start well. My car would not start, my neighbour had gone out, I started to walk to the dentist in the pouring rain. Realising I was not going to make it on time, I called the dentist to let them know I was on my way and could only get the answering machine. After ringing for a taxi on route, I arrived10 minutes late, wet and as normal for me with dental care, nervous. But Mary as usual greeted me with her lovely smile and put me at ease. I had to have the remains of a tooth removed, I could not believe the process was so quick. The care & guidance of Mary and her nurse was wonderful. I can honestly say I am always apprehensive visiting the dentist, but Mary makes it easier.

I’m someone who is always nervous of and not keen to go to the dentist. Thankfully Doctor Laura was brilliant. Putting me at ease, explaining what was being done, without confusing me with medical jargon. Very attentive and helpful throughout. I’ll be visiting her for my future dental treatment. Thank you!

Dr Amanda Bassford and her assistant were exceptional. They understood that my daughter was frightened, and they took their time to explain and reassure her that everything was OK. Every step was explained and non rushed. In my profession I get to work in many dental surgeries and this one stands out as a caring practice.

Re Mary HattonI had some dental work carried out by Mary last week and I went to see her a week later with slight tooth ache. As always Mary was very welcoming and put me at ease straight away. She is such a skilled dentist but what is particularly good are her explanations about the treatment possible outcomes and her very clear strategy for dealing with the problem. Mary is a most wonderful practitioner always treating her dental nurse with respect and humility. I cannot recommend her enough.

Recently had a new filling and a check up at the Maltings Dental Practice. My Dentist Mary and her nurse were both very professional, friendly and made me feel at ease throughout. Very happy with my treatment.

I finally made the jump of getting 3 teeth extracted as well as some fillings on the right side of my mouth. After years of apprehension and horrendous experiences with dentists in the past it was refreshing to find one that was able to tend to my needs and fears. Dr Laura Hunter-Shaw and her team were fantastic from consultation to the operation. Even had a follow up call the next day from her to see how I was getting on. If you suffer with anxiety from dentistry work then I cannot recommend the Maltings Dental Practice enough.

My five year old had to come in for an extraction (through a trauma) and Mary could have not been better with him. She was excellent and the process was painless, swift and calm. He was a good boy and this was mainly due to Mary's fantastic manner with him.

The fact that I have travelled for many years from Lincoln in order to use the Maltings Dental Practice is probably testament enough.The whole team are professional and welcoming. Dr Pete Butcher is a skilled practitioner who has looked my dental care excellently over the last decade or so, managing and recovering some awful 1970's dental work carried out by other dentists. Treatment pricing is fair for a private practice. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I’ve been going to the Maltings for a long time but after today’s visit I felt compelled to write a review. I saw Mr Wong as usual who always has time to listen and deal professionally with my check up. I then saw Taslim and Lucy for the first time for an ultrasound clean and polish. They listened, reassured and advised. A super clean and excellent service. Many thanks.
