Went into pools Army surplus shop looking for a pair of hunting boots wayne the shop manager sujested Hoggs boots best boots I have ever worn go and see Wayne in bishop Auckland shop or pop into there Hartlepool shop. A very high standard of service this will be my go to place for all my shooting supplies from now on I would highly recommend pools

They have a wide range of forces surplus clothes etc. Also mini gear for children t shirts jackets and more the shop is tidy and well set out. The staff are really nice, helpful and polite, I have had quite a few things here either for myself or for family members and have not had any issues or complaints.

Staff is friendly more of a hunting shop and kids dress up rather than an actual surplus shop which is a shame. Kombat kit is not surplus.

Went in today and spent over £150 on my son for Christmas. Quite a few items. The young man was so friendly and helpful. Greeted us as we entered the store. Would definitely shop here again. Thank you.

Called in today 28/5 to get items daughter needed for camping and expeditions with college. Was served by Wayne who was polite, friendly and helpful from start to finish. Nice to find a shop where the staff take time to have a laugh with customers. Excellent shop with good range of outdoor clothing and essentials. Reasonably priced. After checking and testing equipment at home am more than happy with the quality and the items bought are fit for purpose. Will definitely be back

Great surplus store with very good quality and wide range of outdoor clothing and accessories.Wayne was very helpful and friendly, which made shopping with my son a pleasure (which usually isn't).For anyone who is looking for any camping, hunting, walking or general outdoor pursuits, this shop is an absolute gem.Highly recommended and personally, I will be back many more times.6 stars
