Essence of Harris

Essence of Harris are an incredible company with an incredible story. I'm so glad they now have a shop in Glasgow! The space is lovely and the staff are incredibly friendly

My partner was watching the evening news and came across an article regarding the Glasgow store. Being candle lovers and always looking for new candles we bought three just before the Black Friday event. Our candles arrived this evening. We have lit the sandlewood and Nettle candle, the scent around the downstairs of our home is fantastic. An added plus is the candle is burning evenly across the top. I have just ordered two more candles and a gift set. Great value, beautiful packaging and all made in Scotland.Thank you Essence of Harris you have found two new fans.

Love the Essence of Harris shop in Tarbert, Harris but this shop if much closer for me. Perfect location in Princess Square, the shop itself is stunning. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful, nothing is too much for them. Love all the Essence of Harris scents but Horgabost is my favourite. Can't wait for my next visit. Sometimes I find reed diffusers loose their scent but I have refilled my Horgabost ones numberous times and they are still as strong as the day I bought them. Also love the Ruth Morrison jewellery that they stock.

Recently been home to scalpay on holiday,had to pay a visit to essence of Harris in tarbert ,on entering the shop the smell was awesome,and so much choice was amazing,and was told that they have opened a shop in princes square Glasgow was the icing on the cake as moving to Glasgow I will be paying them a visit and have my house smelling of Harris all year round.

A wonderfully welcoming shop full with beautiful candles, diffusers etc.the shop itself is in the perfect location, 1st floor in the middle, beautifully decorated and fully stocked. The staff were so attentive and a good laugh. I loved how they also stocked some pieces (jewellery) from other Hebridean crafters.Whether it's a gift or a new scent for your home, you won't be disappointed, you'll be spoiled for choice!

Just received two diffusers today and they both smell amazing. Normally buy diffusers from Next but no more, Essence of Harris is of a similar price with beautiful fragrances, so know where I,ll be buying them from now on. Saw the company on a Susan Calman programme and my husband and I visited Harris a couple of years ago and fell in love with it. The fragrances bring back happy memories of our visit there.

Purchased the Spiced Plum festive diffuser as a previous diffuser in the fragrance, Horgabost, is beast mode. However, the Spiced Plum has no fragrance throw whatsoever, despite me moving it to our tiny ensuite. Extremely disappointing especially as the festive diffuser is much smaller in size than the standard home fragrance bottles but only £2 less in price, retailing at £23!
