Witard Dental Health Centre

During the coronavirus pandemic, I had the pleasure of having a phone appointment with the lovely Mariana. She reassured me about my pain, and gave me plenty of advice which put my mind at ease. I could tell she really cared and that made all the difference. I had a lovely experience thanks to the lovely team. After pulling my tooth out completely painlessly - which couldn't be saved, she phoned twice at home to check I wasn't in pain. Thank you for everything, would recommend 10/10.Also a very lovely nurse - sorry I didn't catch her name!(they care so much, they actually took my temperature when I went in the practice, as well as disinfectant on my hands - it's reassuring to see they're taking precautions seriously)

I have been with this dentist for 10 years I recently broke a tooth so phoned to make an appointment only to be told I am no longer registered there as I missed an appointment, I have no recollection of any missed appointments and didn't make any as I thought they weren't doing any general check up's due to covid. I'm pleased to say I've managed to get an emergency appointment and will ask to go on there waiting list to join. I won't miss the awful receptionist at Witard so rude and should not be in a job dealing with the public so I for one am glad to leave. Just an update anyone looking to register with a new dentist The dental surgery on Plumstead Road near the Heartsease pub is taking on new patients and they have 5 star reviews unlike the 2 stars that witard have and to be honest I amazed they have them.

Constantly the Worst dental experience of our lives.Apart from the lady dentist having zero beside Manor.They seem unable to do anything other than count your teeth and rebook another appointment.On this visit my son had badly chipped his front tooth...an appointment was made but on his arrival the dentistwas off sick. A new appointment was made and this time he was told they can't do anything now , he has to book another appointment 3 months from now to sort.my son objected and they booked it in for next month.so 2 appointments to do one appointments work. . No wonder you wait so long.

I'd give this dental practise 3 out of 5...one of the receptionists is the rudest person iv come across, there are lovely people who who love her job!!Anyway, yesterday 6th May I had an appointment(was cancelled few times, due to STAFF ILLNESSES!.. Finally got there, was changed from 3.40 to 1pm so I was in a state due to my fear, the girl on the desk was lovely, smiley and kind, (wondering if original one has finally left!) so the 1pm appointment was clocked up swell due to them double booking so by time I was taking through I was in a worse state, but... The dental nurse was so nice and kept me calm, Marian was also amazing, she does have a kind of blunt way of speaking, but it's not because she's nasty or rude, some nationalities personalities come across like that, they both kept me calm and that is all I need, if it wasn't for the rude receptionist and the constant cancellations I'd have given a higher score

I visited the dentist 23rd November 2022. Very happy. A new lady dentist was so good. So kind and reassuring. Probably the best dentist I have seen. The receptionist was also very professional and informative as was the hygienist. Very pleased.

Went to this practice with a serve tooth ache and a broken tooth which needed removing, they where extremely helpful on the phone and very accommodating they managed to fit me in very quickly! All the staff there where very polite and helpful!

I just experienced EXACTLY the same as what was said in the previous review. I just called Witard Dentists and was spoken to in an appalling mannner by receptionist Lisa Marie. She told me I'm no longer registered because I haven't attended since 2017 (I last attended 12 months ago actually!). I told her this is not true and the records are incorrect and she basically called me a liar. She then went on to say that I'd last attended in 2019 but cos I haven't been in over two years (I have) and cos I've missed appointments (I haven't) I've been deregistered. I told her all this is untrue and she said I'm at liberty to make a formal complaint about her if I want to (oh believe me I'm going to). Our call was disconnected (I think she put the phone down on me) and when I called back I told her I wanted the name of the Manager and told her I have DEFINITELY been seen since the start of covid cos I can remember having to wait outside the surgery to be called in by the dental assistant. There is a lot of other stuff that's too long to write but in a nutshell my recommendation is to avoid this surgery. They are at best incompetent and at worst are out and out abusive liars. This woman is rude, incompetent and a nightmare to deal with. Avoid!!!

I will give 3 stars for monica ...Marianne was unprofessional abrupt rude and just made me feel extremely worried... she cracked my tooth while drilling and tried to tell me its been cracked for years (yet no other dental treatment, xray etc has shown this ) was talking to another staff member about how the filter hasn't been cleaned while putting the said suction into my mouth..she told me if I was experiencing pain to tell her but when I did she placed a bit of tissue over my face and carried on talking over me as if I wasn't there..when I pushed the issue she said keep still ! Very hard too when shes hurting you and doesn't stop when you try and say something ..so she said either you keep still or you go somewhere else! Very rude lady seems quite uncaring I just think if you have that harder time understanding care with people you shouldn't be working in this kind of environment...can't get through to the surgery by phone the whole place has gone downhill since Mr & Mrs Flint I'm glad I was able to change to monica as she was nicer but it fills me with dread going into the surgery to be honest

I'd like to go no stars really, their behaviour during covid times was a disgrace. Over a year of cancelled appointments, repeatedly ignored calls and being told to call back a month later to make a new appointment. No sympathy or compassion from staff despite chronic toothache during this time. After all this, I was eventually told I'd been removed from the patient list because I hadn't bothered to make an appointment. Just the worst customer service I've ever experienced.
