Wooow!!! Worst Butter Chicken I’ve ever had!!! Thought I’d treat myself to some authentic Indian food but would have been better off buying a store bought jar from the grocery store. What overpriced, flavourless & disgusting food!!!For what they charge I was expecting authentic Indian food, but instead received watery and flavourless garbage (have you heard of spice & seasoning food?).They don’t even use tandoori chicken making the texture of the “curry” watery and it isn’t creamy like it should be nor do they use tomato as the base for the sauce so even the colour is wrong! The garlic naan was extremely doughy and don’t get me started on the £4 rice (how is that justified!).It’s an insult to even call this Indian food as it disrespects the delicious cuisine you can actually find in India!!Extremely disappointed & I feel cheated out of my money.NEVER VISITING AGAIN…. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!Go buy “The Spice Tailor” curry pack for £3 from the grocery store and cook it yourself.

We are from Essex and have come down for the weekend, food was possibly the best Indian food we’ve ever had. Service was great and all the staff were friendly.

The lamb chops were the best I've ever had, can't wait to go back. Great service and great food all round. This was a brief visit to Brighton and we were spoilt with everything we had whilst there.

This place was quite classy with a spacious and warm atmosphere. The owner was friendly and our meals arrived in good time. I had the Chicken Tika Masala which was possibly the best Indian dish ever. Quite sweet which suited my palette. We had a view of the sea which was nice. Background music was Indian and not too loud so was a nice ambience. Prices were reasonable considering the great menu choices, great service and beautiful food. Highly recommend this place.

In town for work and popped in here for an evening meal on a Monday. Fantastic service and I don't know what I was really expecting but it was simply one of the best curries I've ever had. If you see the size of me, you'll know that a huge compliment. Bravo!

I ordered the Aloo Jeera with rice and garlic naan. Everything was delicious, very flavorful. The service was attentive and polite. However, I felt a bit nickel and dimed. Upon sitting down, I was asked if I wanted papadom. I thought it might be complimentary, but no. I was charged for two pieces as well as for the condiments-- I was solo so I didn't need that much food and only ate a quarter of one papadom. The naan was also a bit expensive at 4.95 for one piece. The portions were a small. It didn't feel like a meal that should cost one person 30+ quid.I also ordered a lemonade" and was brought a Sprite. Sprite is not lemonade. It was 5 stars for the food

Nice layout and tables. Quite a big restaurant. Managed to fit us in Saturday night without a reservation. The food was absolutely lovely and the manager was friendly and attentive.

Fresh ingredients and beautifully cooked curries! We came in as a walk-in for two on a Tuesday night and were treated to amazing service from Raffy and his colleagues, as well as delicious dishes. We ordered the poppadoms with dips, onion bhajis, garlic naan, egg grid rice, chilli aubergine curry, pickled chicken curry, and the Pinot Grigio wine. We can’t pick out which dish was best! The naans were light, the egg fried rice flavours were complex, and the spice was all perfect. We felt really looked after by the staff too! We would highly recommend Bayleaf to anyone in Brighton for the best curry in town, perhaps the UK!
