Absolutely terrific from start to finish. Extremely professional and high quality work throughout, from the measuring up, drawn-up plans, right through to the structural plans. In addition to this, I've been extremely impressed with their depth of expertise with regard to recommendations to improve my initial ideas and keenness to go above and beyond the remit: they have investigated soundproofing options for me amongst other ideas. All the work carried out has been more than punctual and impeccably presented and I'm incredibly grateful. I can't recommend this firm strongly enough - truly outstanding

My partner and I are soon retiring from long careers working in the NHS. We wanted a more accessible home as my partner, who has worked in Mental Health for 35 years, has been assaulted at work, suffering debilitating back & neck injuries.He has been assessed as disabled under the Equality Act.We paid £700 for a structural survey to ascertain whether we could have internal walls removed & whether support was needed.We were told by Steve Hunt Partnership that three steels were needed & were charged for each steel calculation.When work was carried out & walls removed,we were told by two different builders that two of the steels weren't needed.We were nervous about continuing & contacted the Steve Hunt Partnership straight away for advice by email & by phone, several times, leaving our phone number each time,but we only received an email reply (after a few days) saying they would only call out to resurvey if we paid an extra £180.The local council's Building Control Officer confirmed that two of the steels were not necessary.We contacted Steve Hunt Partnership to complain & asked for a partial refund as two of the calculations we'd paid for were unnecessary & therefore the survey was incorrect.We were point blank refused. The survey was a waste of our hard earned retirement money ,we were treated appallingly & put under stress due to the uncertainty & then feeling like fools for trusting them.When we reached out for advice, their response was to try & make more money out of us.We would not recommend.

Gary was great quoting us and providing the report for the structural work we want to get done to our house. Communication was excellent and he advised us on lots of aspects of the job when he came to look at the property. We don’t have anything to compare with but we have been happy with dealing with Steve Hunt Partnership.

Although it was a busy summer period, Gary Hunt managed to get us booked in within the week and turned up to do our structural survey followed by another appointment for the calculations and drawings.He was extremely professional, taking his time and care during the appointment, advising us of options that would work for us, and overall I am so glad to have used them. I have heard of them before from many people and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for structural engineers around the North West area.

We needed an urgent structural survey on commencing demolition of a large brick fireplace which turned out to be supporting the floor joists above. The Structural Engineer came out the same day and provided a detailed report within 2 days. They were easy to contact by telephone and were happy to discuss any queries from the contractor directly. Very happy with the excellent service.

I phoned & left a message 9am Friday morning & phoned again Friday afternoon also, before the 1st email.Re this insult in the below reply to this review, You have opted to disclose your profession and circumstances to make it sound worse

Really thankful for Gary and the team, I was in need of an urgent structural design for supporting my chimney and Gary managed to do it in good timing (worked outside of work hours too) so that I can report back to building control. Gary also rethought best options for the design and clearly explained what was needed and why - making life easier!

I have previously used Steve Hunt Partnership for a structural survey prior to purchasing a house and also to obtain structural calculations for removing an internal wall. The structural survey was completed promptly and emailed over immediately following payment, it included a detailed explanation with regards to some cracking in the brickwork that had been identified and recommendations for repair. Any follow up questions were answered promptly.Following this positive first experience with Steve Hunt Partnership, we got in touch with Gary to provide structural calculations required for removing an internal wall in the newly purchased property. Gary booked us in quickly for a survey at which we discussed our plans, and he discussed options available to us to ensure we were making the best use of the space. Within 24 hours we received the structural design report including calculations for a steel beam to support the structure. Gary was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and has made our experience with dealing with renovation works for the first time much easier! I would recommend Steve Hunt Partnership without reservation.

Rang the company and spoke to Gary and discussed my requirements. Gary emailed a quote the same day, which was accepted. Gary came out the next day. Lovely down to earth man. Put my mind at ease over a number of things. Explained fully what the process was and what to expect. Gary sent the invoice the same day of visiting which was paid and the report was sent the next day. Absolutely fantastic service. It’s not possible to get any better. 10/10 highly recommended. Will be using again for future renovations that we have planned. Thanks again Gary!
