Josie A White Carpets

I'm writing a very belated review (9 years late). I went to Josie's after the purchase of my first house and it needed carpeting. I had a look at other stores but the quality and pricing was substantially higher.I was taken to Josie's by my friend and they had a wide selection of carpets, and the quality of the carpets remains the best I've ever come across to this day.I was able to get the staircase, landing and three double bedrooms carpeted for a really competitive price.The fitters were really good and fast, they managed to do all of the fitting under 2 hours from recollection.I've sold that house off and moved down south, otherwise I would still be using Josies as I wouldn't look anywhere else.They are probably the best carpet stores in the North West and are a hidden gem compared to the known carpet stores. It's good to see that they're still around. All the best guys :)

Did our stairs carpet very pleased with results. Bottom step came loose after a day or so but they came same day to fix it.

Doubt I will come back to have carpets if I need them again. Had a carpet fitter up this morning to measure up, thought he was ok until he opened his mouth (that stunk of alcohol must i say) He measured the bedroom baring in mind we still had furniture in that needed to be moved out but he came with the worst attitude explaining that he ‘will not be doing the job unless the furniture is moved’ who was to say we wasn’t going to move it in the first place? My partner asked questions as to how long the job will take he then came with ‘why does it matter how long it takes’ - Erm because some of us run with time, I have a 6 month old to look after & my partner has work today as the furniture obviously needs to be moved back, not that we should explain ourselves. Then as he was walking out the door he says ‘get to work’ may sound funny but how disrespectful can one person be in his customers house?! Fuming was not the word & the guy needs to be taught some manners!!! Almost felt like he belittled us in our own home. I’ve been in touch with the lady & complained and luckily she has found us some new fitters otherwise he would of been told personally! Soo un professional & rude! No matter how bad of a nights sleep you’ve had or how bad your days going so far do not approach your customers with an attitude like that!

Loved having a girlie to chat to and her expert advice. Great price too. . So this was my second purchase and bought a more quality carpet and thickest underlay 10 mm. The fitter came round to meadure up, liked his listening skills and knowledge, and suggestions. Will update after fitting. Update :- So the lads arrived on time as agreed. Fitted the carpet, they were open honest and fun while staying professional. There was a slight short fall under a carpet stay, but it was no trouble for it to be fixed easily by someone with years of experience as they had. The carpet has a great velvet look and we are so pleased with the whole of the process from this company.

Great selection of carpets for every room in the house. End of roll carpets at good prices and also plenty to choose from rolls. Don't be put off when you see the mill and stone staircase. Worth the visit. Staff are very helpful

2nd time I have been here came back for more carpets for different rooms. Reasonably priced good quality carpets

Don't use this service it has gone down hill since the dad doesn't run it, they tried ripping my friend off by 100 pounds by adding on extra two foot onto measurements , the guy had a bad attitude and was measuring up my wall and over my sofa , he then went and shown the lady who now runs it , my friend was a carpet fitter in past so knows his stuff and explained it wasn't them measurements showing her a video of him self doing measurements so she could see and she had a bad attitude and was moody so he went else where and got sorted and he was right ▶️ about his measurements they was being greedy andgreedy , bad service shame they was brill when the bloke ran it .
