Vintage Heaven

This is a girl's world, and I mean that in the best possible way. It's a place piled high with vintage glassware in ice cream colours, cute mismatched cake stands, board games and a smallish pile of secondhand clothes that look like 50's children's uniforms.It's twee, lovely, and not that cheap - and certainly not for minimalists. The cafe out the back serves it's pots of tea and massive slabs of cake on the exact same M & S brown plastic floral tray that my mum had when I was little, and that's Vintage Heaven all over: a little slice of the past, with a Columbia Road price tag

I came on the 27th of August around 3:15pm to eat some scones. The food was really good. However, I wasn't well received, as I said Hello (like a polite human), the waitress laught at me with her colleague. She said sorry" but I was feeling really uncomfortable. I still had food there but I regret not to have left. The experience I had wasn't what I expected because of the poor customer service at this specific time."

It is such a lovely store! And what’s even more lovely is the owner of the store. The best part of my journey was chatting with her about british scones and pastries and how passionate she is about what she does. Highly recommend!!

If you have a weakness for English porcelain is this heaven .. Amazing dinnerware, glassware, flatware and more, the shopkeeper Margareth is the sweetest and most positive person I have ever met. Need I say that I bought some bowls & plates for my allready filled suitcase. I will definitely come back

Very girly (but not twee!) vintage shop / tea room at the tail end of Columbia Road. There isn’t a great deal of space, which makes browsing seem a bit precarious for clumsy so and so’s like me – the shelves are packed with mismatched china and cake stands. All gorgeous and all reasonably priced, considering the Shoreditch premium placed on such items. If you’re visiting then don’t forget about Cakehole, the little cafe in the back. I was surprised to find it virtually empty on a Sunday morning but it’s usually packed. The menu isn’t massive, but if you just want tea and cake then you’re in the right place.

The best visit of our five day stay in London, all because of the owner Margaret. Kindest person you'll ever meet and a ray of sunshine even in the rainiest of weather. Truly a must visit. The café had beautiful pastry and the scones with the clotted cream were excellent as well.Love, all the way from Sweden.

It is a beautiful shop with beautiful items inside. The main draw is the owner, Margaret. She is an amazing human being. No exaggeration, Margaret is probably one of the nicest human beings I have and will ever meet. I am so glad I ended up moving to a flat next to her shop!
