Bloody useless. Booked booth to watch six nations only to find people sitting there. Bar staff said do you really want me to move them , err yes! Then told the rugby could not be put on till football finished. Sports bar only if you are a football fan. Come on guys get a grip as u couldn't even organise a fire in a match factory and that's being polite!

First time I've paid a visit in over 10 years and it's not changed. To be honest it doesn't appear to have been cleaned since! Staff are unfriendly, glasses are dirty and the entire place is unclean. It'll be another 10 years until I'll revisit again...

This place to me is absolutely fantastic. The staff are very pleasent. Friendly. And helpful about the local community. As someone from down south I don't know Walsall. But reading some of these reviews I find that people are rather pathetic. The bar is a bar. It serves cheep beer. Cheep food which unknown to most the uneducated idiots on here is very much tolerable and very nice. We was told a 45 minute wait as it was very busy for the united arsenal game. Which was understandable. Two younger girls working there arse off to get through a number of orders. But my food came out within 32 minutes and was beautiful so thank you to the ladies. The bar staff were very nice. Under some pressure with a busy bar. But got to us as soon as they could. We have drank in some places in walsall and this by far was the best pint we touched. The girl on the floor very polite and friendly. Keeping a smile even with the pressure you could see she was under. Overall, in honestly. From a couple that are not from Walsall; The town isn't a bad place. But the pitch (sports bar) is a pleasant place with friendly staff a good pint and good food and honestly, I enjoyed my curly fries. To the staff at the pitch. Ignore the absolute ignorance of the people on here. ( Who you can tell are from the same group) you do very well. Regardless to other problems that obviously go to higher authority. You do exceptionally well. Well done our next visit, we will soon be back to the pitch in a heartbeat.

I've never been for food here only for a night out. It wasn't my scene, but staff seemed on top of things (beer spills and vomit messes) and mindful of what was going on. I felt pretty safe.

Good for a piss up if you don't mind expensive drinks, sticky flooring and very dirty toilets. smoking shelter is a joke and with the ramp just in the middle is a massive tripping hazard that I have watched many people fall down over the years.

This is a fab place went there lastnight for the first time and I totally loved it. The manager and staff was so friendly! The music was just great! They are true to their word the drinks are really cheap!!! If I could give this place more then 5 stars I would.

Went here New Year's Eve and was awful. Doorstaff seemed to try and cause confrontation and arrogant. For a fiver in, there was nothing given away to help celebrate. Not even a party popper or hat. No atmosphere, no people, same old usual DJ and song repertoire. Should have gone to Manhattan's where it was booming

I DON'T EVEN WANT TO GIVE ONE STAR! After going to another bar, me and my friends decided to go here. I wish we hadn't of bothered! Overpriced drinks, pool table was terrible and cues were blunt the floor was Sticky, dirty toilets (one cubicle didn't even have a door) my girlfriend's glass stank of body odour and on top of everything else she had a bad experience in the toilet. She was getting what was left in the soap dispenser and she scooped out fecal matter. That was enough to make us leave!

If I could verbalise tears I would do so here. I would like to say this place has a sad atmosphere but that wouldn't even come close to conveying the misery personified by the bar staff of this venue. Those poor people have committed their life and livelihood to Walsall and so on this basis their misery is quite understandable. All the warning signs were there, a self-proclaimed sports bar having 14 inch Grundig TVs, the aging floor, football tops which had been signed by the bar staff, rising damp, the barmaid was a broken women and the man working there was on a comedown.Sadly we ignored these signs and ordered food from the grammatical attrocity referred to as a menu. Curly fries with everything.Nearly 2 hours had passed before the illegal immigrant child who is forced to work in a 'kitchen' (essentially an annexe of the toilet) was able to produce 4 of Farmfoods finest fish fingers which he had painstakingly marinaded in nothing. The lukewarm temperature of these had litteally taken hours to achieve. For those who find bland a bit unpalatable fear not, The Pitch should be credited with inventing sub-bland. Stale bread encased fish fingers with an utter absence of any distinguishable taste. To be fair to the migrant minor forced to work in this place, he knows how to work a microwave. The number of portions of curly fries he is capable of delivering via a microwave is actually impressive. Given the 2 hour average wait time on food we were given a long time to contemplate his achievements and inevitable future win of Great British Menu. Almost as impressive as a bar full of backward locals who actually seem quite accepting of utter inefficiency and under achievement masquerading as a business. Before my visit to The Pitch, I had assumed post traumatic stress disorder only happened as a result of real trauma. As it happens, The Pitch redefines tragic. I actually wept in this bar. I am still weeping now. Even with my therapist I will never be able to discuss The Pitch and the flashbacks actually induce vomiting. The symptoms of the multi-illnesses we have all contracted as a result of being foolish enough to eat in this omnishambles of a bar are yet to play out unfortunately, but during the hours in which I will be inevitably confined to the toilet I will endeavour to write another review which more accurately captures the level of horror that is in operation at The Pitch.Perhaps one of the reasons the food takes so long is that all 'staff' are in the back of the venue writing the absolutely fictional 5 star reviews that this place has suspiciously acquired.I think it's important to recognise areas which a business is doing well in. To be fair to The Pitch, for all the things they are not doing well there is one area in which they excel. The one thing this venue has truly mastered, the one area they over achieve in, is incompetence. Some of the previous reviewers have, in my eyes, been a little harsh. If you were born without any sense of values, of what's important and have an absence of a sense of urgency this place is likely to be potentially tolerable. For those who attach no value to their life, for those for whom surviving a meal (which you anticipated for several hours prior to its arrival) is not essential, much satisfaction could be found here. For those looking to end it all, at the absolute end of their life, ultimate dispair, this is the place to go. And the reason for that is that it is marginally more enjoyable than conventional suicide. Marginally.I cannot wait to go back. Thanks to comedown Calvin and suicidal Sally for making our visit so memorable.Having already decided that the euthanasia clinic is economically beyond my reach, I will instead be going back to The Pitch as soon as I decide that life is no longer worth living. Having visited Walsall and more crucially The Pitch, that time is now pretty imminent. Thanks to The Pitch for putting my life, and in fact my now impending death, into perspective. There is nothing like celebrating absolute inadequacy.
