Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast

Access to the beach could do with a ramp from the north end of the beach. Areas are clean and tidy . Regular plastic removal teams work here. Always cheerful.

I can only say OK! You can only drive so far before reaching a sign that states 'no unortharized vehicles beyond this point' then you have to walk around 10 minutes uphill. When we got there it was, well, nothing there really.

Gorgeous place totally the opposite of the lake district. Unspoilt and not many visitors.Get off the train in St Bees or further South.Walk up the coast to Whitehaven. Taking in nature and the industrial past.

Moderately challenging walk over the cliffs from st bees to whitehaven.Fleswick bay about a 1/4 of the journey is a lovely quiet beach to visit.If the seasons are right you might see the puffins on the cliff and in the sea.

Awesome views, clear path, relatively easy walk (some steep uphill bits but not many) beside the coast down to a little cove (Fleswick bay) with a pebble beach and rocks to scramble on. Good bird watching, although the nesting area has a very distinct pong.

I have stayed at the Seacote hotel nearby as I was working in the area and had a quick visit one day after work in this park. The view is absolutely breathtaking, I love the sea in general and this place made me very happy. The weather was very nice although up on top it got fairly windy. It's a good place to have a relaxing walk and get away from the noise of the city. You can also snap a few good photos in the area as the landscape is amazing.The shore is rocky and very calm. The rocks at the bottom of the cliffs are marked by people with some of the writing being dated in the 80s which makes it a good mediation point if you think about the history. As this is a fairly remote location you can stargaze at night as the surrounding area is dark enough to allow you to view the sky in it's full glory.

A beautiful beach and one of the best around here. Facilities include free to use public toilets, pay and display car park, cafe and shop and an ice cream van which is there most of the time. A lovely clean soft sandy beach. Shallow water which is warm when the weather is right. Catch it as the tide is going out and you have a whole day ahead of you.
