National Trust - East Pool Mine
This is a pre book visit but a great visit none the less. Our guide was very nice full of information on the mines locally etc. It takes about an hour including a small film which was very good.

National Trust - East Pool Mine
National Trust site for Cornish mining heritage. Park at back of Morisons car park ( this is the official parking). Reception, cinema, engine house and many other ruined buildings. You can walk around, or pre-book a tour, where you will see more. Quite expensive and a little over reconstructed for my taste. But a must see for the area.

Such a fascinating and important piece of Cornish history, and a REALLY interesting tour from our guide Dave! So good to be able to get up close to all the mining equipment, so much of which is in amazing condition.

National Trust - East Pool Mine
Really interesting collection of buildings which formed the working mine on this site. You go round as part of a group our guide was highly knowledgeable about this and other mining sites in the area. Probably the highlight is the beam engine which is on site and believe still in working order but I'm not sure of any schedule when it runs. Just to note parking is reached from Morrisons car park at the far end.

National Trust - East Pool Mine
We booked this in advance (National Trust) - the tour was great with really knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. Sadly the projector was not working so we missed the film on our visit (being repaired). Quite a lengthy tour (75mins) but our 10 year old coped! Well worth a visit - beach is just down the road afterwards too!

National Trust - East Pool Mine
A great option on a rainy day since most exhibits are indoors. You should reserve a tour in advance. Our guide was great with our 9 year old. Such interesting facts about the geology of the area and how the mine worked. Trust the Google Map directions as you will be parking in a grocery car park.

National Trust - East Pool Mine
It was an amazing experience having a tour around the area of this former mine, preceded by looking at the exhibits myself about its history! A lady took me and others through all of the different rooms, detailing what the equipment was once used in them for and areas where certain activities once took place. We also were shown pictures depicting the conditions in the mine and went down a tunnel, giving a feel of how the workers felt!

Very interesting guided tour, Hayden did a great job at keeping the kids engaged with questions and tasks. Not the biggest attraction but the guided tour makes it.
