Lovely little pond in Dringhouses. Bigger than I first expected, always people around fishing and walking their dogs. Lovely place for a quick lunchtime stroll.

Very pretty pond, well maintained by local volunteers, thanks for that. Some lovely fish too. A fantastic location to fish or walk

This place is lovely, tucked away in a little estate in Dringhouses, it's a small pond but has around 14 swims or so where you can fish from, the balif walks around I believe and you,ll get a ticket which allows you to fish for the day £5.00, it's a great place to walk the dog or just take a casual stroll to get some you time, there are a variety of wild birds, (ducks, moorhens,) etc, of course with any body of water you will see the odd water rat, but they don't bother you, I came here a few days ago (Feb 12) and I found it so peaceful, the folks here are lovely and say hi as they pass by, it's definitely worth a walk around, bring a packed lunch and a flask of your favourite hot drink, it's a great walk for the children too, especially if they are the outdoor kind, I can't wait to see this place in the summer, come and have a look for yourself and enjoy

York Railway Pond
Quite small but very tranquil. There's a few varieties of water fowl including ducks, swans, coots and Moorhens. Around the circumference of the pond are several stages designed for anglers to set up for a pleasant period of fishing. Many local volunteers have been busy trimming shrubs and bushes, tidying paths and planting wild flower seeds which will add, when mature, to the already present snowdrops and daffodils. There's a path that runs around the edge of the pond so that you can walk right around or just sit and relax on one of the benches on the site.

A beautiful spot. Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who have worked so hard to create this tranquil space. We are so fortunate to have this on our doorstep. So many great play and learning opportunities for our grand children.

A lovely quiet place to go for a walk and gather your thoughts. We came on a rather foggy Sunday morning. It’s dog friendly but they must be kept on a lead. Plenty of benches to stop and admire the view. We’ll be back on a brighter day!

I was walking through the place and saw there is a park there. Asked a passerby, is it allowed to visit the place and he told me ya, you can. I spent about 45 minutes near the park. Was quite, amazing relaxing place, duck having fun and fish jumping through the pond. Really a good place. Not so big but, if you pass by you should do a round the pond.
