Range of fabrics is heavily skewed towards dress making, but still managed to find some suitable upholstery fabric. Good prices and friendly/helpful staff. Probably 5 star if you are looking for dressmaking fabric.

A proper old independence fashioned fabric shop tucked away in a side street in Reading. Unfortunately it will be closing on 26 March 2022 so buy now and get a 20% discount.

There is a large selection of patterns, notions and fabric in almost every colour, type and subject you can think of.An amazing place.Updated March 2022 - This shop is now closed, apparently people are not going in anymore and are shopping online. I couldn't be more upset about this closure. I understand why over the last couple of years but, I think, you need to feel the fabric and see how it acts. This means, unfortunately, that I am not very likely to buy from their online store in the future.It was such a wonderful place to shop.

Fantastic for all my fabric needs. The staff are extremely helpful and the prices are brilliant. Their website offers free collect from store as well which is always helpful if they don't have what you need in store.

I recently discovered this shop and the ladies in here are lovely. I visited another shop where I paid a fortune for a fat quarter and then came here and got 1 metre of fabric cheaper than I'd paid for a fat quarter in another shop. The prices are perfect and I'll definitely be coming back soon

I'm not very experienced so I always feel a bit shy and not sure of myself when I go in here. I usually feel a bit like I'm putting them out. As I get more confident in what I want and need I feel the staff are more friendly.

Very good shop has such a wide variety of different types of materials and designs and patterns. My mum uses this shop all the time as she makes a lot of stuff and she never moans about the place, she gets everything she needs from the one small looking store. Great customer service at a good price

Great experience here this week, they only reopened Monday. They have sanitizer at the door and a one way system in place. Max 4 shoppers at a time so be prepared to queue outside.The staff were friendly and helpful in what is a dificult time while they run short staffed. They did a good job of herding customers, policing the door and cutting fabric! Only one person allowed to look at patterns at a time.
