Carrington House Hotel

Bargain. It's very basic,but you got spacious bathroom, tv and bed with clean sheets and it's warm. If you tired, after a long trip and you don't need luxury -this is not bad for this price (30 quid) If they refurbished the whole place, it would be at least 100 per night.

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel and it was badly, I didn't enjoyed at all.Customer service are rude and not friendly with the guests.The Hotel was not clean at all, the rooms was smiling badly.The WiFi don't work in the rooms, if you want you have to pay £7 a day p/ person.The swimming pool is open just for a couple of hours.Also they don't do housekeeping so we stayed 4 days without someone came to clean hour room.Me and my husband didn't enjoy the moment at all and we will definitely not come back!

Have just come back from a Line Dancing weekend staying at the Carrington. We've stayed there in the past and it hasn't been good. However, it's really improved over the past 18 months or so. The food is much better and although the rooms are a bit tired, they're clean and comfy. The staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful.

Always start positive. It's a large hotel suitable for the event we attended. That's about it. Things out of order/not working/not available during our stay; the lift, the swimming pool, our door key, the soap dispenser in our room, the TV. Things not satisfactory; being rushed at dinner, mouldy curtains in our room, no heating in our room, only 4 hangers in the wardrobe, very small amount of tea coffee and milk in our room which was not topped up, no maid service during our stay, coffee provided was awful.There MUST be better options in the area.

I'll start with the good stuff as we only stayed 1 night.The room we had was massive and clean, shower and a bath, TV.The bad stuff.The hotel is outdated, the furniture is old and the walls are thin. The folks above us had an amazing time at the hotal time 5 times till around 0330, then both were sick...so be prepared to hear it all.Car park is free but it small and tight, but not far from the beach.For the price its not a bad hotel, to the couple above us, I hope you both had a great night as she clearly did with that moaning..fair play to the guy there.

We went to the Carrington House Hotel for a motown weekend, breakfast & evening meals were included as well as afternoon & evening entertainment (live music)The hotel decor is in need of an update, which they are doing bit by bit, there were new carpets in some of the communal areas.The rooms are very dated, there was a crack in the sink, the bath is deep and the shower quite powerful. BUT the bath, sink, toilet, bed & furniture were all spotlessly clean!!! Perfectly white bed linen & towels, my pillow was very hard so asked reception for a soft one and it was taken up to my room for me.I would advise taking either a double adapter or extention cable as there weren't enough sockets in the room for us, there was 1 double & 1 single.The buffet breakfast was perfect, hot & plentiful. Evening meal choice of 3 things for each course (3 courses) again buffet, soup & good choice of salad, mains were a little below what I would have hoped for but it was edible & cooked well, puddings were gorgeous, a selection of cakes, jugs of fresh pouring cream, fresh & tinned fruit.There is a nice warm swimming pool for residents the changing room is tiny but there are showers separate from this, and there are towels available at receptionBy far, THE best thing about this hotel are the amazing staff who are never standing around doing nothing, they run the place extremely well & everyone seems to know what they're doing. Nothing is to much trouble & your welfare & comfort is their top priority!!! That alone makes this a Hotel worth a visit, I'm looking forward to going back in January for a 60s weekend.

Room a little tired but clean. We were given a family room for just the 2 of us. What is nice is that you can take your well behaved dog with you for an extra £10 a night. The dog is not allowed in the restaurant. Quite a short, about 20minute walk to the beach through pleasant gardens.Food was basic but good and its all self service from a hot buffet, and breakfast similar.There is parking available and there is a swimming pool. Pretty good value all round.

Stayed recently as part of a coach tour, rooms big and spacious but in need of a proper clean, asked for a bath plug which was missing on the first day, (surprised the cleaner hadn't put it in the book to be done) , and 2nd day as nothing happened, finally on the 3rd time of asking it happened, lovely choice of food at breakfast and evening meal, staff really nice and friendly. Entertainment at night was good but needed something after the evening meal had finished as find yourself sat around in the cold untill 8 before it started. Overall hotel in a good quiet location staff friendly but hotel very tired and in need of a major refit.
