Very good thank God for places like this my three dogs are all rescue dogs two from hillside other from RSPCA

Great charity with great staff. I rescued my dog from them 3 years ago and they were very professional. If you are looking to rescue an animal or are looking for a new cause to support, then Hillside is the one for you x

When I visited there in past was very impressed how they work with the dogs there, how we could take a dog being viewed for walk to see if got on OK with our other dogs etc. Reasonable fees compared to some other places. Thorough home checks etc.. But their online site needs updating more often ( allowing for right now due to covid is inactive mo mean, when is)

The girls there were so nice and you could tell they enjoyed their job. The process of adopting Stanley was easy and now he is resting in front of the fan

We have adopted our beloved dog from Hillside. We would highly recommend this rescue centre with the staff being incredibly supportive and friendly. If you want to find your next furry family member definitely come here!

I have recently rehomed a dog from Hillside, and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They work incredibly hard with some very difficult (ie, mistreated) animals, some of whom will never be rehomed due to their long-term problems. The rehoming process I went through was thorough, but not invasive. The staff got to know me over several visits with my new dog, there was a straightforward homecheck, a couple of overnight stays, and finally the permanent adoption. The process might seem a little long-winded, but it has several advantages: firstly, I got to know my new dog well before she came home; secondly, the staff got to know me and had confidence that I would be a responsible owner; and thirdly, everything was arranged to fit in with my working pattern. The outcome of this process is that by the time my new dog came home to stay, she was comfortable with me and knew the smells of her new home. She has settled remarkably quickly and seems very content with how things have turned out for her.

Rehomed a dog in less than two weeks of owner surrender due to nervous aggression issues once bonded to owner. Advertised as TIMID. Feel sorry for the people that have adopted him. Going to badly go wrong very quickly. No reptuable rescue would rehome a dog until it has been assessed for a number of weeks if not months. If they had done this then they will realise why I have left this review.

It's a lovely place and lovely people we had a staffy from hillside and the most lovely dog we ever had and will go again
