Trumpington Street Dentistry

Today I had a tooth extracted by Dr Shilan Rostamian who was supported by Nurse Joy Rookey. The tooth had been causing me a lot of trouble of the past year as it got frequently infected. Although I am not normally worried about dental procedures, I was very anxious about the tooth extraction, particularly as my tooth had fractured into two parts. Dr Rostamian and her team did an amazing job explaining the procedure in sufficient detail (without going into too much detail which would have fulled my anxiety). The actual procedure turned out not to be painful at all and Dr Rostamian removed the tooth in less than 5 minutes time. I was incredibly impressed with her skills both technical as well as with regards to her communication and empathy for a worried patient. I can highly recommend this team to any patient who requires dental care.

My partner attends this practice and recommended it. However, when I tried to register, they had to turn me away as they are not accepting new patients. I suppose the high demand is a positive indicator of relative quality ( :

Dr Mirza and the rest of the team are kind and efficient - I felt put at ease immediately and everything was explained clearly. I’m very happy with how the procedure went and with the results.

I was a first time patient at this clinic and I had a very great private check up and hygiene experience with Dr. Joyce Wang. She was very thorough during the examination and explained everything in details. I will be sending more family members to her. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Overall 10/10 experience.

Sunah Mirza is a skilled and caring dentist. I have lost a crown at the front of my teeth and she twice called me in response to my questions by email, to answer my questions and help me fully understand my options. She also arranged for a denture to be made swiftly and arranged for my notes from my old Antwerp House practice to be moved across to my new records. I highly recommend her.

Had a hygienist service by Dr. Joyce Wang on Nov 3rd. She was thorough in the cleaning and offered me advice on maintaining oral health. Staff was very friendly as well.

Tge dentist and her expert assistant were wonderful. I dental procedure was not simple, but they did a great job and we are very personable, keeping me calm and in the end, very satisfied with the outcome.

Been using this practice for 30 years. Always been fantastic for me. The practice has had a recent refresh and is clean, light and comfortable. My new dentist is outstanding: really clear communication, efficient and experienced while not in any way being rushed, so you are not in the chair any longer than necessary, great at injections and always calm. Let me share an an illustration of how professional and caring they are. I recently broke a tooth, so I rang up the practice in the late afternoon. They offered me an appointment the next morning, but I booked it for the first day I could make (about five days later). My dentist, actually took the time to ring me the next morning, just to check I wasn’t in any pain and to find out if I wanted or needed to come in the same day after all. I’ve never had that happen before. I was so impressed. Especially as I was recently able to register on their NHS list which helps a lot financially, but makes you worry if you will still get the same level of service. The answer to that question is a resounding yes! Reception staff are absolutely brilliant - nothing is too much trouble :-) Highly recommended.

From registration right up till the treatment and payment, everything went smoothly. Nadiah, the nurse, was super friendly and accommodating. For someone who was in pain at the time, that was very comforting.I was attended to by Dr Sunah Mirza who explained everything clearly. I had a wisdom tooth extraction and I wasn’t in any severe discomfort throughout the entire procedure she did. She was very comforting through it all. As a student who came alone, this was very reassuring!The cost is fairly standard for a private capacity so I can’t complain even though, as a student, it is quite costly even to do regular check-ups. The NHS capacity (lower price) is limited and has a waiting list but worth asking I suppose.
