We had puppy 1-2-1's with Ami in 2016 and then went on to complete Puppy Foundation, Intermediate and Improver classes - our dog Luna (now 4yrs old) loved using her brain and we as owners learned a huge amount about the way dogs *really* think and learn; classes gave us fresh ideas on how we could motivate through play to build a strong bond and train through games so that training was enriching and something Luna enjoyed.Ami uses 100% force-free methods and no negative reinforcement /positive punishment which is scientifically proven to be the most effective way to train a dog. dog training has come a long way in recent years and old-school dominance and fear based methodologies debunked. Unfortunatley the industry is still completely unregulated but CDS holds accreditations from recognised bodies (APDT) to assure dog owners of their up-to-date and constantly reviewed techniques.Luna was quite barky in class to begin - she was fearful and alert. Ami told us how we could begin to change Luna's emotional association with things she was afraid of and allow her to build confidence through distance and choice - we have used and adapted these techniques for so many different scenarios... the knowledge has been priceless. Luna is now a well balanced, confident and friendly adult dog and has completed kc good citizen scheme with Cheshire Dog School. In 2017 we adopted a fear reactive (barked and lunged at everyone) 15mnth old rescue, Annie, who had never been socialised or house trained - we were her fourth home. Ami gave us a telephone consultation prior to Annie arriving which included advice on how to introduce a second dog and followed up with a home-visit once she had arrived to help us read body language and form a strategy to help Annie learn to cope. Annie completed CDS Adult beginners class and attended improver classes - she walks off lead in public places and has a large repertoire of tricks under her belt which she loves doing. Most importantly Annie is much less flighty and has developed vital coping skills she missed out on as a puppy.CDS is best suited for people who want to learn how to read and interact with dogs in order to get the best from a human-dog relationship. I can't bear to think the damage we might have done if we had used training advice from books or TV programs.I can count on one hand the people I trust with my dogs and Ami is one of them. I cannot recommend her enough.

Took my dog to Puppy classes and then further training with Cheshire Dog School, they have been brilliant! Ami has helped me understand things from my dogs point of view. The techniques she uses work. I would definitely recommend!

We rescued a Romanian dog in December 2021.We started working with Ami 1:1 in February 2022. I can’t recommend her enough. Our dog ( Toby) was scared of people, children, baths and reactive to other dogs.Since working with Ami we can now walk past busy play areas, relax on a beach, bath time is no longer stressful and he is now happy and playful with other dogs. She has helped us read our dogs behaviour and understand how situations can be stressful for Toby. She never judges - just provides advice and education to help us continue to help Toby on his journey to becoming a happy confident dog. Thanks so much for your help!

Ami, has been absolutely brilliant and given us lots of advice for training our new puppy... Having had a dog for just shy of 14 years, we forgot how hard it is to train a puppy, I can't praise Ami enough, we have seen a huge improvement in him, there is still work to do but we've been given the guidance we need, and now the effort is on us to keep up his training... Ami, thank you.

Great experience when taking my puppy here. The classes built up my confidence teaching me to do the right thing by my pup. The teachers were very friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond giving advice. The classes were fun and taught me lots, encouraging us to practice what we learnt in our own time. The follow up classes were also great, pushing the training further, yet always geared at your own dogs individual level. The trainers understood the different breeds traits, steering the training for your own dogs needs. A fantastic experience. One to really recommend. Thank you Cheshire Dog School x

Jenny and Scott are great, really know and care for the dogs. Lola my staffy cross seems to enjoy her time there. Wish it was open a little earlier, but they would need more staff for that.

My dog was reactive to other dogs. There was little improvement after several sessions eventually he tried the classes barked once in the class and told couldnt do anything for him and he couldn't stay.Tried different trainer in Warrington he is no longer reactive, recall is perfect and he plays with other dogs on walks. All of this in 5 sessions. Can't believe how much money I wasted on these sessions!
