This guest house has surprised us in a fabulously roundabout way, thanks to the conversational and theatrical skills of the staff (RobertFromTheBlock, William, and Kim), who are thoroughly friendly, amusing, and talented too!WiFi in the rooms was of rather limited utility, but should you need it you can go to their living room, and that is where you might see how the staff shine and make your stay here memorable.Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Shared bathrooms are quite clean, if not spotless. Breakfast was included in the price. Good selection of bread and toast, cereals, milk, yogurt, and fruit.

What others complained about is all true, but I was still happy with the value. We stayed for one night when we unexpectedly missed our train connection. Yes the place has seen better days, the beds are saggy, and the seagulls make a racket in the early hours of the morning. But the room was comfortable, it came with an en-suite for the price of a shared bathroom hostel-type room, and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was actually quite good. And you can’t beat the proximity to the train station. I would definitely stay here again.

We didn't have the best start here, as when we checked in around 7pm the room was still not clean. We found a dirty carpet, stained sheets, no towels or hands soap, and there was hair all over the sink and shower, because the room hadn't been cleaned. At least the guy at the reception was super nice, he sent someone to clean the room so the issue was sorted, they had no shower gel or any other product to give us so he went as far as to give us his own products, so he really tried to make our stay comfortable. The shower was broken so we had a hard time showering, it was fairly dangerous because the door of the shower was completely detached so it could have easily fallen on us. After the room was cleaned it was really nice, there was good heating and even tho the music from outside was quite loud at some point It wasn't a big issue when trying to sleep. We didn't pay much for the room so we weren't expecting much, it's a shame that the cleaning wasn't done properly because it would have been a really decent place with the staff being so friendly.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. It's dirty, old and the beds are very uncomfortable. We didn't even stay for breakfast. Wouldn't recommend it.

Very welcoming, best to book in advance on a booking site, rooms are comfortable, breakfast is continental. All rooms are upstairs, no lifts.

Acceptable quality for the price point. Rooms were unfortunately freezing, the radiators were practically non functioning but Mark was very helpful in finding a space heater for us. The bed was rock hard which really aggravated my arthritis. Location was great and Mark was amazing the whole stay. The breakfast was very nice as well!

Awful experience at this property- we booked 2 nights and only stayed one.Please people do not stay here - pay a bit extra and go somewhere else.Water was not getting away from the shower hence the shower trap filling up, dusty dirty room, curtain rail broken, floors not hoovered , sick or something on a wall that nearly made me puke, mould on tnt window, zero security at this place( anyone can enter the building 24/7 at ease which is worrying) .Avoid this place at all costs people .

I will not recommend this guest house. Too loud, no hand towels, too much dust in the room, uncomfortable mattress. Broken bathroom door and broken curtain for no privacy. Wasted my money.
