The Milk Churn
The Milk Churn in Melksham is an absolute gem of a find! From the moment you step in, there's a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels valued. The food is a delightful blend of traditional pub favourites and innovative dishes, all cooked to perfection. Paired with a fantastic selection of drinks, it's a place where memories are made. The ambiance, with its rustic charm, makes it the perfect spot for both cozy winter evenings and sunlit summer afternoons. A must-visit for anyone in or around Melksham!

Popped in for some food with my daughter. We were told it was a half hour wait for food when I ordered which was fine as we could see it was busy. When the food came, we were instantly surprised at the small portion of Mac and Cheese that my daughter had been given. It was a tiny little dish with a flat level amount of pasta, dry as a bone with no sauce and bread crumbs on the top to make the experience even dryer. My daughter ate some but even the taste was unpleasant. She also had a brown piece of lettuce on the side. All this for about £13. Had the price not been so high, I may not have bothered, but I took the plate up to the bar, as no one came along to ask us how the meal was (although they were busy so that was ok). The two young ladies who saw me at the bar were very polite and very apologetic. They asked if I would like to order something else but I asked for a refund (I'd finished my meal by this point) and they instantly gave me a refund without question or without having to ask a manager etc. Can't fault the staff, they are friendly and super apologetic but it was a shame as this was supposed to be a nice treat for myself and my daughter. We are usually happy with the food here, but this was very disappointing. The pub itself has a nice interior, warm and friendly. May avoid going here for food for a while.

Absolutely fantastic place. Really dog friendly amazing staff. Lovely place, food is delicious and so worth the money. They even do doggie icecream which our pups loved. Lovely decor too. Recommend to all.

Held a 30 guest Wake for my husband using the backroom and end of the actual pub area. Booking was easy. Staff were very careful not to intrude yet skilfully kept the tea and coffee going and checked on the hot food. Food was of very good standard, even the sandwiches were filled to capacity. There was plenty of parking and no pressure. I would definitely recommend for private functions. My Thanks to all staff.

A perfectly placed pub to eat, near our Travel Lodge. A decent size, with plenty of wood, pictures and ornaments on display. It was relatively quiet considering it was a Saturday night. The service was polite and very quick. The food was excellent. They serve a simple menu which is very clever for a restaurant. If I was to stay near here again, I definitely would eat here again.Well we did, breakfast this time. When they serve tea and hot chocolate it's exquisite! See the pictures. Full English, nice. 2 personal criticisms:- I'm not a fan of streaky bacon, and the chef gets heavy handed sprinkling pepper on everything! All in all great. Breakfasts Friday to Sunday!

Food was good, but atmosphere just ok". 3 stars only because of the staff. Didn't asked us if we need anything else after we finished our meals. And when we were leaving we felt like ghosts - no one from staff said thank you or goodbye."
