Seriously getting stressed out with this insurer. I've had insurance from them for three pets for over 5 yrs. This is the first claim I've had to make and its been a horrible experience.Our cat had a blocked bladder early August. We submitted the initial part of the claim immediately. Our cat was then back and forth emergency and vets for side effects from the condition for two weeks. The claim was added to during this time. We were told by email it would be settled in 10 working days. We heard nothing from them for two weeks, so I called and git told they were very busy and it could be another two weeks before our claim went to the assessor.We eventually had some money this week for the smaller amount for our cats treatment, but they keep delaying and asking for extra information regards the initial larger part of the claim. After one email was answered by our vet earlier this week, we have now had another query. This time asking why a pet ambulance was used?'. Our cat was catheterised

Totally appalled by this company. They make it as hard as possible to make a claim and then do their best to find reason not to pay. I have had my cross breed insured for 3 years and recently had the unfortunate cause to make a claim. During the prolonged process they queried what she was crossed with - something which I declared when taking out the policy. After confirming they have now decided that they don’t recognise one of the breeds so have instantly cancelled my policy. I had declared as a mixed breed from the start and an unsure what the outcome would have been if I didn’t know the breed or if she was a rescue for example. This had never been queried when taking out the policy and I’m now £3,000 out of pocket - plus £1,000 of policy costs over the 3 year term. Currently seeking advice from the insurance ombudsman and will be speaking legal advice to support my claim. Seek a reputable company rather than a cheaper alternative.

My cat Raya was taken ill and had to go to emergency vets and after 2 weeks, received my payout minus the excess.. Best check your policies to make sure you are covered for more than the basic £1000 as the majority of claims will be over this! Recommend this company.

Annual premium just went up 65%. Yes, 65%. We’ve been with them three years and while we did make a significant claim last year, to just throw out a 65% increase with no human intervention just shows a complete disregard for their customer. Will be shopping around.

Our beloved Spaniel Amber had a history of war infection and we had made a claim. She then got seriously ill and passed away despite extensive treatments (internal bleeding).This company has done nothing but drag its feet and is now claiming her death was related to her ears so not covered! The company show no compassion during this heart breaking time and I would avoid then as they seem to be trying to avoid any payments.

A disgrace. Disputed a claim, but neither myself or the vet had received the results email. After hours on the phone was finally able to speak to someone, assured the email had been sent but absolutely nothing received. Hung up on more than 3 times today, what great fun.

We have been customers for three years and have never made a claim. Despite this, our policy price increased by nearly 50% this year siting rising vet fees. We never received the communication that this was happening because they only send notification by post and not email (in 2023). I don’t understand how this price increase all sits on us - that’s a huge increase. I’m not sure it’s even worth it, may be better off putting that money in a savings account.

What an absolute joke of a company. We put in a claim three months ago for my cat’s hernia operation. We chased it after a month of hearing nothing and was told that our claim had been “sat there” but not processed. We were promised it would be approved. Cue the radio silence from them.After chasing again, we were told that they needed further information and when asked what that information was… they said a cost breakdown and medical notes from the vets. Which we had provided when we filed the initial claim! We were threatened that the claim would be cancelled if this information wasn’t received. We had sent them the medical history print out from the vets already! The vet also confirmed the type of hernia on the notes but this company apparently wanted additional confirmation… which would look the exact same as what we had already provided because it was a PRINT OUT OF THE MEDICAL NOTES.We chased again and were told they’d heard from the vets so it would be approved. Nothing. Chased again and apparently this time they HADN’T heard from the vets and would ring them to chase on our behalf. Then in the same breath they told us WE needed to chase the vets.After another week, they told us the vets never contacted them and cancelled our claim. We called our vet, who confirmed she had sent everything over, so now we have to file another claim and go through this absolute shambles again. We’re still awaiting a resolution and I will hound this company to the ground until someone actually does their job.There is not an ounce of common sense at this company. Avoid this dumpster fire at all costs. They’re quick to take your money but lie through their teeth at you when it comes to actioning your claim. Absolute GARBAGE.

Very upset and disappointed. First time I had to file a claim for my miniature dachshund because of her medical condition. I submitted the claim beginning of October and it has been absolute shambles since then. Same information being requested over and over again despite sending it a number of times. I made sure I sent all the information when I initially sent the documents. My emails not getting picked up. I still haven't been reimbursed despite doing everything by the book
