Milly Holroyd Music

Milly started teaching my son (11 years old) 3 years ago and I would highly recommend her as a piano teacher. My son adores her and she is the reason he enjoys piano so much. In recent times when he has lacked the motivation to practice, she has gone above and beyond to find new ways to inspire him and keep him interested (she even arranges pieces of music for the themes to his favourite TV shows for him to work on, which he loves!). She has him working towards grade 3 with gentle encouragement, and kept up the lessons online when the in-person lessons had to stop due to the pandemic. She has shown such patience and perseverance, planned great lessons, challenged him, provided fun homework tasks... I cannot praise her highly enough.

My daughter started piano lessons with Milly during the pandemic as a complete beginner. Milly plans fun, well-thought-out, well- rounded lessons and it is amazing how my daughter has come on in such a short space of time - without, ever having been in the same room as Milly! She always goes above and beyond for her students, for example when organising online shows so that the children can share their performances with one another.

Milly was very good piano teacher. My children really like her.She was very kind and patient to teach piano to children.

My daughter is learning piano from Milly for the last 3 years now. She always look forward for her lessons with Milly. Milly is successfully able to keep my daughter's interest in music otherwise she was about to give up. Milly tries different ways to keep a kid self motivated and gain confidence without loosing pace. During lockdown , my daughter continued all her lessons with Milly in her online lessons for the first time and our experience was excellent. I will definitely recommend Milly for both in-person or online classes.

I have had Milly as a Piano teacher for my children for 4 years now. She has been teaching my two eldest daughters who are now 14 and 13 years old and has recently started teaching my two younger boys who are 4 and 6 y.o. She is the most fun and patient piano teacher! My children always enjoyed their weekly lessons with Milly.My older girls love her and think she's such a cool teacher. For the younger ones, she always brings different games every week to make it fun for them. My youngest had started rather slow with Piano but is now always looking forward to his short session with Milly. She knows how to engage them during every lesson.

Milly is an amazing piano teacher. She took time to really get to know my daughter and connect with her which made the lessons all the more impactful. My daughter looked forward to her lessons and was keen to practice to impress Milly. She has become a really talented piano player coached brilliantly by Milly. And this was all done on-line on Zoom. I gave up piano a few years ago, because doing a degree in music pedagogy required me to take a piano exam, which took all the joy from it. 2 years later I picked it up again with Milly as my teacher and she managed to bring back all the joys of playing piano. Ever since I started taking lessons again in October I've been practicing everyday and I'm enjoying it so much. All thanks to Milly who's an excellent teacher for all ages and levels.
